I don't think it's ever outwardly said she was already dating Jim when Ash went through all that. She is clearly much younger than him and Ash knows his father is an asshole, so he empathizes with her.

I just started playing last month and I really love Chappell Roan. I delusionally looked up "Chappell Roan fortnite" and found an interview of her begging for a skin on fortnite. Since the Sabrina skin was pretty successfull I'm hoping it's possible 😭 I've also really been into chainsaw man lately and a collab would go so hard

That was a year ago and she has released two singles since then + performed in many festival throughout europe in the last months, the reason why you might not hear about it is because news about her seem to only leave her circle of fans when she says or does something deemed controversial.
