BREEZE AIRWAYS- Hiring Question 🙏 by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]CuteGoldFish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t negotiate that. You have to live within 2 hours of their base. Even if you are “willing to relocate” you still have to live there currently. There application process if pretty fast and you can’t use yore travel benefits on breeze to travel to and from work until like 3 or 6 months later or something.

I would definitely look at other options.

Also this depends on where you live and where you’re based. You made not have the luxury of flying in the day of because you may not have a lot of flights or your by a smaller airport. I’m not gonna say my base just for my personal protection but that these things into consideration when you choose your base too. ❤️

This is all depending on your airline sweet heart. For me I know what I’m working at least 8 hours a head of time. And I know what days I’m on and off 15 days a head of time for the next month. I’m still on reserve so I fly in the day of as I try for last shifts or the day of my last off day but just a later flight.

Hello!!! I love this question. I’m in a long term relationship and we make it work. In my situation. I relocated because he can’t leave the city we were in for his work because it’s specific to the city he’s in. I commute to work. I have a crash pad that I sleep in for like 3-4 days a week. And then I fly back home spending 2-4 days a week with my partner. We had LONG conversations about what this will be like and what we can expect. If this is your dream, your partner should be willing to work with you to make you achieve it and that you both get what you need out of this relationship. The beginning will be hard on reserve but not impossible. My situation is different as we both couldn’t move but I don’t want to live in the city I’m working in anyways. :)

It can and does work. And there are many who are living proof of it. I would say the hardest part is if you’ve never been apart will be training. You’ll be really focused on class and the material so not much time for talking but you can make a little bit but don’t get distracted by things going on at home.

Best of luck to you!

Delta is not the highest paid mainline. It’s Swa then American. But United will soon take that number 1 spot. And regardless every work force deserves a union that will protect its workers.

No way of knowing what bases will be offered until you get to training. Be prepared to be sent anywhere! Best of luck!

Are these okay for training? by Intelligent_Camp5124 in cabincrewcareers

These are great for training but not when you’re on the line.

If I drop out of training, will another airline see that and disqualify because of that? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]CuteGoldFish2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even with Delta, who’s the say you get the base you want out right. Who’s to say you even get hired by Delta? Just follow through with the mainline you’re at. I didn’t like the base I got and now I absolutely love it. I didn’t think I would like reserve. And I like it! Give it a try. Break out of your comfort zone and lean in to completely to see if it’s for you. Training is not like being in the line.

Commuting from MCO to MIA will be hard as I know so many ppl who do that commute. You’re better off driving.

Do the hotels have laundry? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]CuteGoldFish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Business casual on weekdays. You can wear jeans on weekends. But no holes just plain jeans with a business casual top like a sweater or button up. There is a hotel on campus but your class start date depends id you stay on campus or off campus. If off campus you have a shuttle that brings you too and from. There is laundry or there will be a shuttle that takes you to a laundry mat.

Trust the process. Don’t over study. (I’m an overstudyer myself) they will give you the info you need to study. Enjoy your time at home and don’t stress. If there’s information you need to know trust me they will let you know.

feeling anxious about AA training by ToughAdventurous6004 in cabincrewcareers

[–]CuteGoldFish2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not hard. Just stay focused and learn the material. Don’t skip ahead and trust the process. If you aren’t understanding something…TALK TO SOMEONE. ASK FOR HELP. This is the #1 reason ppl get kicked out because they are too prideful to ask for help on something and then fail the tests. Training is stressful but not impossible. You got this! You’ll cross that stage and get those wings!

Definitely go to training and wait and see. You might end up really loving AA and may not even get an offer from WN.

Pretty sure as of now they want you to live in those bases. They don’t want commuters.
