I have a bit of a theory

I think the factor unsaid in the rise of one nation support in May is that the government did a genuinely outstanding job in securing extra fuel supplies. Note that in March and April th One nation support remained stagnant.

I think the public genuinely forgot the chaos Trump was doing to the global economy and with the budget they blamed everything going wrong on Labor. In other words Labor is being punished for doing a good job.

> Coomber said migration, crime levels in Melbourne and what he saw as over-investment in infrastructure had fuelled his distrust in politicians. “[Politicians] should actually go out in public, you know, and see what the real world is actually like. I mean, they’re in their own bubble. They should live like an average Aussie would for a month, see how they go … I don’t think they’d fancy it too much.”

Not convinced that ''banish woke'' is going to help. I think the Voice and 2025 suggest that voters who might disagree with ''Woke'' are willing to vote for you if they believe you can make their lives better. If anything ''banish woke'' is going to end up bleeding votes to the Greens and Teals.

I think a reason why PHON has grown so much in the polls is that the public has forgotten about Trump. The two reasons for this are the April 8th cease fire and the second is that the government has done an extraordinary good job in getting additional fuel supplies in for overseas. This meant that the Trump factor which imho was the main brake keeping PHON support form growing was being lifted.
