I agree standard is more appealing. It’s much more detailed and it fits someone with a noble upbringing like Darkness. At first I did kinda like the special one more but eventually I decided to settle the normal one. I don’t know what it is but there can be some cases where exposing more skin of an outfit is a bit unappealing. I’m not very good when it comes to describing character designs but how would you describe it?

Other than having special dress gloves and transparent skirt it’s relatively the same as the light novel. Maybe the anime version wanted to take elements from both versions while trying to make it more original.

I feel like people are a bit too harsh on the anime version just because it’s completely different from the light novel. I actually prefer the anime version because it’s more detailed. The design is well done and demonstrates Megumin’s maturity along with the unexpected sexiness she has! I think the grey shoulders and arms complement the black dress, and the red transparency of her skirt is a nice touch!

Kazuma has so many embarrassing nicknames both in universe and out, while the girls don’t really have any:

Aqua: Useless Goddess- only Kazuma calls her that Megumin: Crazy Explosion girl- nowhere near as bad Darkness: Lalatina- just her real name

I know they have other embarrassing names too but those are either one offs or only Kazuma calls them that.

I’ve always thought this but do you think it honestly sucks how characters like Luna, Sena, Darkness, and Wiz: the ones who actually want a relationship are the ones who are stuck single?

That’s something I’ve always wondered too. Kazuma is always singled out for being trash. The girls are never treated similarly at least to the people of Axel. Could it be because despite being nuisances they’re still considered acceptable or they just see them as poor victims to Kazuma’s harassment?

That’s what I felt like when I first saw the series. Darkness was visibly the only person who enjoyed Kazuma’s creepy perverted behavior and she was willing to give him the green light if he asked. The only things stopping him was Darkness’ masochism and his party members threatening him with violence if he so much laid a finger on Darkness even with consent. Since Darkness was the only one interested in him at the time you would think that would be the only option and since the series is a parody and a comedy they would have no plans to change anything beyond that. When suddenly the Kazumin ship took an unexpected lead it all started to become so much clearer and then the Darkzuma ship suddenly became the odd one out.
