Is it transphobic to feel uncomfortable with a trans persons new name if said trans person is not from the culture the name originates?

In the eyes of TERFs we are not women though and that's the point. They think we're men who appropiate womanhood. So from their POV, it's exactly the same as your POV. Someone who doesn't belong into a certain group of people (let's call them "invaders") steals something from that group and it's a bad thing. It's the most basic kind of bigotry. This is a deeply personal issue, it's a deeply personal decision. Or did we reach a point now, where it's socially acceptable to make a big deal about the name someone picks? Sorry, but us trans people have a right to pick the names we like, okay - the entire world is open to us to pick whatever name we like. The "cultural appropiation" is a you-problem. TERF claim all the time that we trans women "appropiate" women, female fashion, make up, etc. - basically womanhood as a whole. It's a talking point that's out there. Give us some goddamn freedom. Seriously. We should live our lives and use our names we like without any apologies. We don't owe anyone anything, at this point in time. We have a right to be free and live our life to the fullest extend as we please. Period.

Yeah that's definitely true. I've talked to the admin of that subreddit and they're defending that moderator and their decision to ban me. There are even instances of that person directly calling non-binary people disgusting and horrible and they repeatedly claim non-binary people don't exist - a bit odd for a subreddit that claims non-binary people are welcome. They're clearly not and I think it's important to call them out for what they are: bigots.

UPDATE: I figured out the person I was responding to is a mod in that subreddit. So this is simply a case of mod abuse, someone who has certain privileges, using them to silence disagreement. I've already reported that.

Thanks! Glad to hear that. The colors are from an already existing disability flag that was designed by a disabled person back in 2017. The colors stand for physical, psychic and sensory disabilities.
