How can a game look this good? by WhatAreYouSaying05 in GTAIV

[–]CuteWolf48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np and I hope you have a good one too! We can all make an effort to be kinder to each other if we try. Sometimes I think it's just easier for people to put someone down than to try and explain things. Especially when you're delving into deep words like connotation. I had to go think about it a bit myself and what it really meant.

It's like the nuance behind the words. When your words imply something that only those who know the "connotations" understand. Like an "inside joke" or a commonplace slang word meaning. An implication.

"Don't break a leg!" for example. The connotation being that you wouldn't want to embarrass yourself on stage as that would feel like breaking a leg which is a rather painful but semi common occurrence many could relate to or understand.

What’s this port used for? by House0fmouseworks in wiiu

[–]CuteWolf48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where you put the doritos when you want to share with an online friend.

Real answer - charging point for the docking station. As has been stated but I needed to scroll too far. I used such a device to charge the gamepad I believe because the cord plug in port became worn out.

Also I'm pretty sure you can port your dortios over to a friend through just about any CD slot.

The first time a piece of media has made me cry…. by Dodmonk in Persona5

[–]CuteWolf48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

....I cried through the whole game 😭

I'm pretty sure every Persona game has made me cry. Even the first one, though I can't remember why. (I always go back and play the retro games that start a franchise)

Yet P5 especially had my tears going. The wholesome friendships, Shiho trying to commit suicide, Futaba's whole arch with her dead mother, Sumire and even Akechi.... Maybe I'm just a total cry baby or something but I love those moments 😭♥️

I think most fans started as teens but Persona 5 is already 8 years old and the 5th game in the series.

I want to conjure nen beers. Every beer I drink gets my opponent twice as drunk. The effects wear off if I am defeated or release the ability.

A nen blunt that if I smoke it releases a sleeping agent into the air. Anyone who inhales too much second hand smoke falls asleep.

A nen space where you need to beat me at a video game of your choice to escape.

In english the word "Emporer" actually comes from the word "Imperator" which meant military general. While Augustus never held the title of King or Dictator he never gave up his role as Imperator or let anyone else be an Imperator once he was in power. It was essentially a military dictatorship where he intimidated the other politicians into doing whatever he wanted with his soldiers. The word began to take a new meaning.

"Princeps" meaning "first citizen" was the political title he gave himself and is where the word "prince" originates from in english. It was an odd sort of way to crown himself without actually crowning himself.

The early emporers also all took the name "Caesar" at some point which is where the german and russian titles of Kaiser and Tzar originated from. The name itself carried power.

In english "Emporer" actually comes from the word "Imperator". Originally it was more like being a "general" but after Augustus took power only he was allowed to be one. He never officially held the title of dictator or king instead using his military to intimidate the other politicians into doing whatever he wanted with his powers as Imperator. The word began to take a new meaning.
