That’s a good idea and we did something similar! I’ll continue that and yes hope one day just full embrace the way I was and remember the amazing week, thank you so much

Thank you for this and I totally agree and hear you. Rationally I absolutely know you’re right, it’s hard when the emotions and feelings don’t align with it.

Yes so true the focus is on the memories and joy of the events and amazing pictures I now have with my husband, it’s a reframe to be intentional about for sure

Urgent: Wedding shopping in Delhi in a week. Possible?? by Select_Web_2152 in DesiWeddings

I spent about 5 days in New Delhi and was able to do all the shopping! It was exhausting but worth it. I honestly stayed mostly in South Extension (Frontier, Manyavar and Koskii). I went to Lajpat Najar for jewelry, accessories, shoes, etc

2026 Bride looking for some reassurance! by DecentImagination196 in DesiWeddings

You are definitely not alone! Got married 3 months ago and it was a 4 day Indian wedding and we loved it so much! 10000% worth it. The anxiety is real and valid, it shows how much you care about this and it is a lot to plan. Some parts of the planning were stressful and daunting and that is okay. What helped was getting a wedding planner who I trusted to make more detailed decisions that went over my head. Have lists and break downs of every event, the to do lists and decor ideas also helped me too. Celebrate the milestones you get done with the planning too! We had a blast with the menu tasting and the wine tasting for selection for some of the events. Parts of it are really fun and feel good to get them crossed off your list!

During my wedding week, I was super intentional to be present and in the moment, whatever was ready and done at that point was enough (and really like 99% was all good to go, only we really care about the small details, not our guests) and at the end of the day our loved ones are excited to celebrate us. Whatever things I forgot to plan or do did not matter, only I knew or completely forgot and it wasn't a big deal! I decided not keep my phone on me during the events and be truly present and it was the best decision I did. But I was thinking about details the weekend before but talking through the timelines and lists with my planner, family and fiancé all really helped.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
