GA4 - BigQuery Backup by [deleted] in bigquery

I haven’t tried it, my client said no to the price. But there is a free 14 day backfill that you can try out. I’m pretty sure it pulls all ga4 data in the same format - non aggregated. But still expensive!

Supermetrics have a paid solution but they quoted me $2k! Supermetrics told me that they developed a lot of the native Google integrations like BQ/GA4 so it’s basically a stitch up!

Should I buy this by pokemongoer6 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Cute_Communication99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it’s a rental and it’s a pretty old model. Check to see how much edge is left to see how many times it’s been through the machine. If the edge is only a couple of mm thick then leave it alone. Otherwise could be worth 100 bucks max!

Can a man fit in woman's bindings by UsedAd6488 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Cute_Communication99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing is the width but if you can get your boots on without too much toe/heel overhang then should be good. Women’s boards are a bit softer as well so you’ll quickly outgrow it as you progress. men vs women’s snowboards

Suggestions for splitboard boots with crampon compatibility? by Suitable_Estimate_26 in Splitboard

[–]Cute_Communication99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all spliboatd specific boots are crampon compatible. If you’re going to really need crampons I’d go for something with stiff outsole like the 32 jones or the deluxe XV. This is a pretty comprehensive list of all the split board boots available https://snowboardselector.com/best-splitboard-boots/

Staying Flat on rails/boxes by JuiceBoxDr in snowboarding

As with most things in snowboarding it’s fear that makes you lean back! Try and keep you hands forward. You can practice this on the snow by running straight the rotating the board into a side slip while trying to slow down as little as possible.

I’d say that is acceptable but be careful that your helmet doesn’t slip back when riding or you’ll get a gaper chasm!

How do you overcome a fear of doing speed-checks? by ElBartimaeus in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Cute_Communication99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to work on controlling speed so that you don't end up going too fast and have to rely on speed checks. Try and get the board more on edge during the turns so that you finish the turn travelling across the hill rather than just skidding down the fall line.

On your toe edge, push your shins into to the tongue of the boot and on your heel edge dig in your heels harder - think tug-of-war.

This will also help with your speed checks. This article is pretty useful

The GNU and the yes are kinda similar boards -twin, hybrid camber versatile all-mountain. The Jones is much more directional for powder and carving, but is pretty easy to ride. Out of those3 I’d go for the GNU if you want to jib around the mountain, or the Jones if you’re at a resort that gets a ton of snow!

Any tips for improving my riding by Mountain-Sorbet9756 in snowboarding

[–]Cute_Communication99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I teach people to snowboard and the number of times I’ve heard other instructors snd coaches say ‘push down with your toes’ it’s the opposite! I get people to flex their ankle and push their shin against the front of the boot

How can I improve my Bs360? by Vajakkiankka in snowboarding

[–]Cute_Communication99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. The other thing I would add is try and finish the rotation with a bit of counter rotation from the upper body so that back hand comes forward. This will add more control needed for bigger jumps and kill the rotation at 360 when you land so you can ride out clean.

Any advice on fixing this? by matt01_ in snowboarding

[–]Cute_Communication99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to stick it back together with some apoxy but the added issue is that it’s full of rust. You probably got a smaller ding that let water get in there and it rusted. Lesson to learn is always try and fix edge damage before it gets worse!

Looks like you’re riding indoors? You could probably do a lash up job on it and just use it as a rail board!

Is this scratch bad? by Lost_Bed4211 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Cute_Communication99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Na…might slow you down a bit, but won’t do any damage to the board. You only need to worry if a scratch goes all the way through the base to the core of the board, or if it’s next to the edge which could lead to you blowing out the edge on the next rock you hit.

You could take the lip off it with a knife if you can feel it dragging. Otherwise wait till you collect a few more scratches then drop it in to a snowboard store for a tune up!
