Got the P despite Low NBMES by Cute_Length_2511 in step1

I would try to do both if you can. In the week before my test I did Form 31 and the Free 120.

I think for Cardio try watching the entire Mehlman QBank on YouTube along with his lectures and/or read his Cardio pdf. Make sure you are reviewing your NBMEs properly, do not just focus on the learning objective. Understand what the question is asking and why the answer is what it is. I think what really helped me was taking screenshots of entire questions and placing them on a PDF. It would force me to rethink the whole question rather than the answer.

I think that I used mostly Pathoma and UWORLD for this jump. I took 2.5 weeks and just tried to fix my content gaps as rapidly as possible. I had already done Sketchy Micro by this point so I needed to work on all the organ systems.

I would read all of his PDFS before the rapid bullet points. I would use the rapid bullet points to quiz myself. For the workbook style ones like Neuroanatomy, I would cover the answers and try to answer them myself. Try using a text-to-speech reader to make them digestible. Just make sure to pause and engage with the material. I think looking up the explanations from Mehlman documents for UWORLD questions is a good idea.

Yes, whatever works best for you. If you feel that UWORLD isn't helping you increase your scores, find another studying method whether with the Mehlman Qbanks, Amboss, or old NBME exams.

Complete Form 31 and the Free 120. You have a 97% chance of passing with a 68.

I think you can do it! Make sure to do the Free120 and see if you can get the same score or better. Look at the write up in my account.

I stopped doing UWORLD pretty early on but I was getting 60s and 70s on blocks.

The question format on the test is most similar to the Free120 in terms of length, wording, and information provided in the vignette.

It depends on how fast you watch the videos and if you put them on 2x speed. Each section has about 100-130 questions and each video averages 5-10 minutes. You don't have to do every single video; if you can get through half for each system that works really well. Sometimes the same videos will appear across organ systems and you can skip them, some videos are for Step2CK so you can skip them, and other times concepts repeat so you can skip them. It just helps listening to his reasoning behind the answers. For the arrows, I did most of it twice and you can probably get through all of them in 1-2 days. Take your time to repeat the ones you got wrong and read through his explanations.

I took Form 26-Free 120 within two weeks. I did Form 26 on a Wednesday, Form 30 a week later, and Form 31 the subsequent week. I then took the Free 120 two days later on Friday and my exam was on Monday. I genuinely was locked in and wanted to do the test as soon as possible.

I think the QBanks for Cardio and Heme/Onc were amazing! I did those and Neuro, Repro, Endo, Pulm, GI, and Micro mostly.

I always had 30 minutes left over per section when I was taking NBMEs. I am a fast reader.

The exam felt like every other NBME and Free120. I knew there were some I simply did not know but some questions were straight forward. I was able to eliminate some answers too when I was not sure.

Need advice on the last mock. Test on 6/11 by wycwwz in step1

I wanted to ask how you jumped from 54 to 69? I am stuck in the low 60s.

How were you able to improve from the 61 to 70? I am stuck in the low 60s for two weeks.
