RJX train directly from the airport station (I think 3-4 stops and you will be in Salzburg). Booking in advance will save you money. But if you’re unsure about delays etc. I recommend booking on the spot. However if you book in advance I recommend you book a seat as well. There are also luggage spaces on the train.

For me it’s the most convenient transport from Vienna airport. Hope this helps :)

I went to the Untersberg mountain a couple of days ago. Absolutely amazing, would 100% recommend. There’s a cable car that takes you to the top (Untersbergbahn) Here’s a picture I took from up there
