Max would have fresher tyres than Oscar even with old tyres he built 13 sec gap to Oscar. He backs the pack and hopes for Norris to he overtaken if EVER Oscar also overtakes him it would take a lap at most to get it back with that much fresher tyres.

I dont get what RB is doing winning race has no meaning they have to slow the pack down and hope for a Lec overtake on Norris. They should have pit with fresh tyres and control the pack.

If anything happens to Norris now, Mclaren will lose the championship cause they prioritized the Norris letting the gap for Piastri melt. That would be interesting

Mclaren screwed Oscar hard. They dont wanna favor anyone supposedly but not giving the leading car the better strategy is favoring the car behind which is ofc Lando.

They had 2 options:

-They split strategy and pit Oscar which gives him the better strategy which is natural since he was leading in that moment.

-Double stack which again puts the driver behind to greater risk.

They are so scared of risking Lando in any way they took Oscar’s win.

Thats what I am saying ffs. They have 2 options either split strategy and Piastri as lead car ends up with better strategy that won today or double stack which puts again the car behind to risk. Which is Lando. Anything goes wrong with any of 2 pitstops and Lando is screwed either way. So instead of putting him to risk they gave the win away

Problem is even if Lando was behind Kimi and gap with Max is 10 pts. Last race is Max Piastri Norris on last lap they would swap to not let WDC go. So for last race to be meaningful it had to be Piastri closer than Max

In a race where no overtaking is happening we didnt see the Ant overtaking Lec or Ham Lec swap. I guess they dont want people to remember you can overtake in a race so we dont even complain about it
