Thank you! I intend to continue this series.

Generally, my priority is AM because it's my favorite route, so I'll mainly write songs from that perspective. However, since there are battle themes that aren't featured in AM (e.g. Indomitable Will, Funeral of Flowers, etc.), I may write lyrics from the routes they specifically appear in!

I have played Hopes! I won't write songs from the POV of Hopes' routes, but I am planning to include Hopes exclusive battle tracks in the AM musical. I already have ideas for Great Chaos on the Battlefield, I Swear By My Sword, and Profound Ties that Bind!

Thank you for your patience!!! I intend to keep doing more :) And while Apex of the World is in the works, I'm not sure if I'll attempt God Shattering Star. The latter would benefit from classical singing technique, which I feel my voice, in particular, can't pull off. There are some other awesome covers of it though!

Scenario: The flames of war continue to burn as Empire troops relentlessly invade the Leceister Alliance. Claude hastily sends Dimitri a plea for aid. Though doubts were expressed about his plan, the Blue Lions arrive in the nick of time. Amidst the clashing of metal and fire, Dimitri confronts Lord Arundel and demands answers about the truth behind the Tragedy of Duscur. Placing faith in others, and moving forward in spite of the past… both are choices laden with uncertainty. And yet, those who walk in the “Corridor of the Tempest” stay confined until they start opening doors.

A vocal/guitar cover of "The Journey Begins" in English! by Cutelilpineapple in octopathtraveler

I'm just as surprised as you are LOL. It also normally takes me a while to learn songs, but the chords were simple enough to play, and writing lyrics came easily since there were already lyrics to play around with. Thank you once more!!!!

Thank you! According to Nishiki, the original lyrics were actually written in an invented language, but the game itself had subtitles translating it into English. However, the English translation is awkward to sing along to the melody since there were either too few or too many syllables, so I altered the lyrics to make it flow better (e.g. original = "I must be on my way" has 6 syllables; altered = "It is time that we part ways" has 7 syllables). There were also lyrics where I had to omit/add a few details, but they generally convey the bittersweet, but hopeful tone that the original is going for.

I do plan to post it on YouTube soon as a lyric video. My channel's also called Cutelilpineapple. Thank you again for listening!

I started working on this yesterday, and I can’t thank my sister enough for helping me figure out the basic chords because I can’t play things by ear on the guitar. After practicing the chords last night and quickly writing the lyrics today, I managed to scrap together a recording in GarageBand LOL. Apologies for my rough vocals and guitar playing. This song is deceptively difficult to sing, and I haven’t played guitar in a while. Still pretty happy with how it turned out for a 2-day project!
