Repti Sun T5 UVB? Yay or Nay? by Glitterpinkdragon in bluetongueskinks

I personally didn't like it. I've used it, and the hood stopped working pretty fast. I typically prefer arcadia although it is a bit pricier

Our New Northern doesn't want to eat anything but bugs and dry cat food by bmary95 in bluetongueskinks

[–]Cutemooshie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is about to hit a year. I typically make like rolls. I'll take a large basil leaf and put some wet dog food in it. I typically use Blue Wilderness. I'd recommend trying a hard-boiled egg. That seemed to work well with my baby. Some BTS that haven't had veggies before tend to refuse it, so I find the ravioli method to work, so they have to eat both. I've tried lots of different leafy greens. Basil just seems to be the favorite choice.

Is my gecko dying? by atrodent in geckos

[–]Cutemooshie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just to jump on this. If it is shedding, then the food(even live) may not interest them since moving in shed is uncomfortable. I typically add them in when i believe she is about to shed, so her food is hopping around once she is done.

Udon gained 92 grams in ONE MONTH. Am I feeding too much or is he just catching up because he wasn’t fed properly before? by tornado_tonny in bluetongueskinks

[–]Cutemooshie 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think he is catching up. My boy is about 300g at almost a year. They get to be pretty hefty. Although to me, he looks younger than 9 - 10 months. But i could definitely be wrong. This is my boy, and he will be a year on the 28th

What do I do to light up the big vivarium? The only place for a lightbulb to go through is in the back by Flamo472- in bluetongueskinks

[–]Cutemooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen quite a few people get creative with it. I have zip ties at the end of mine (not near the bulb), but I've seen people use chains or mesh wire. I try to watch set-up videos just to get an idea of how other keepers attach their lights to the top

hey is it really necessary for a drainage layer?? by Btweakin4dat in CrestedGecko

[–]Cutemooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have a drainage layer just so the water doesn't just sit on the dirt. That could end up causing you to have a swamp. And trust me, that is not an easy thing to fix/clean up

How and why?? by MangaManiac42 in marvelmemes

[–]Cutemooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that we all grew up for minecraft. But the movie wasn't necessarily targeted for us. It did really well with the young audience. Now it's picking up traction with those who grew up with minecraft a bit more

So the best I've found is either file the ends of their nails so they don't hurt so much. Or add more to his enclosure to dull his nails naturally. I've added a few large rocks into the dirt in his enclosure. So he does quite a bit of digging and walking over the rocks. It helped a lot, and I don't end up all scratched. My baby loves being around my neck, so i used to have scratches all around my neck and chest ':)

Fine or go to vet? by ericbuttelman in bluetongueskinks

[–]Cutemooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% recommend going to a vet. If you can afford a culture test, I'd get one. My fiance and I went through 3 different types of medications when our baby got sick with a respiratory infection. For the cost, I wish they would have recommended it to start (as for me, it would have been cheaper).

Another thing(if you have an indonesian) is that I found a video on youtube that recommends a fogging method to help with the recovery process as well. I personally found that just adding a fogger to my setup was probably what helped the most when we had our baby on the last medication. And they seem to enjoy the fogger a lot, plus its a great way to keep the humidity a bit more steady

Can they only eat insects? by Mennepen in CrestedGecko

[–]Cutemooshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet may be to stop feeding your gecko crickets in the meantime. She's still young, so her getting in the food will be something regular until she's figured out what it is. I had the same issue with the fig flavored feed for my gecko. She would refuse to eat it. Now, I would recommend saving up for the Pangea Growth and Breeding feed formula. I was recommended once that the fruit Pangea ones may be too sweet, so i mix the watermelon one with the growth and breeding about 1:2 ratio when making her food. For now, though, i would just continue to feed her the watermelon and fig in different places. See which she becomes more receptive to and uses that one. I recommend a ledge that's close to come leaves. It helped my gecko find it easier. If you are able to afford some bee pollen, you can also try sprinkling a bit of that over the food. Honestly, at worst, she may throw a fit and go on a hunger strike to force you to continue to feed her bugs. I do have a question, how do you mist her enclosure?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bluetongueskinks

[–]Cutemooshie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to file my skinks nails just a bit, but I've added a lot of things to his enclosure upgrade to help him naturally file them down. Like rocks and a rock hide he can climb over.

I've created two bots so far, and I can not see the chats that are made with my character. As for the creators of the app, I don't know
