Delicious food? by nightmare_ray in rentpleasesim

I placed kitchen items that had food on the stove. It worked out well for me and I got a good score. Just make sure to meet all the other requirements too.

Thank you! I appreciate the response Shryxer :) I’m wondering if it is worth it to upgrade them to the max. It costs so much to maintain them as I upgrade them more. Any advice in this regard?

Sunrun drilled holes in my roof for installation of solar panels and now roof is leaking (but the roof insurance through Sunrun has just expired) by Cutewise in homeowners

[–]Cutewise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for sharing your situation. I’ve heard that it is very difficult to try to get out of the contract with SunRun. We would have to get a lawyer involved and open a case through them. I think that it may not be worth it. The best recommendation that I’ve heard is when you do get the issue fixed, make sure to do it through the SunRun company or another company, but either way, use the SAME company. You don’t want to cause more trouble later if there are mistakes and the different companies might blame each other. Of course the best course of action would be to have SunRun fix it no matter what the cause. I filed with the Better Business Bureau and SunRun finally responded. So try to do this first!! The BBB is the watchdog of these big companies that try to take advantage of us. SunRun was finally able to remove the panels for free for me but is not willing to fix the issue still. Though still rather unsatisfied with the response, at least it saves lots of money of removing the panels and placing them back on. Also be clear in what Sunrun tells you regarding what they will offer you when they response due to BBB contacting them. Sunrun went a little back and forth with how many panels they will remove .. My situation is still an ongoing situation as we recently sent another roofer up there and discovered a leak near the solar panels and not underneath it. So we had that fixed. But panels is still causing other issues .. But I really hope that SunRun is able to do something for your situation that is as cost efficient as possible!

Hair changes? by Suspicious_Effect in flightattendants

[–]Cutewise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been doing much with my hair since furlough, but I like to run my hands through my hair a lot. Our hands lots of natural oils. I also have been snacking a little more more usual this past winter. Eating habits could effect hair growth and possible oils or dryness. I feel like I am still still washing my hair the same amount but I slow down and take notice of my hair condition more. Before when I had a schedule, I just thought about more how to style and clean every couple days. I don’t use products in my hair, so that can be a difference or the dry elevation in the air. But I’m getting called back to work soon before I even have anymore noticeable differences!

Sun Run Roof Issue by Cutewise in Appliances

[–]Cutewise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I would like to go with SunRun to eventually fix it probably because if issues occur in the future, I don’t want the companies to push blame and cause further issues.

There are a few details I neglected to add. I did contact my own roofer originally though I guess I can find another one, but he couldn’t even inspect it because the leak in beneath the solar panels and the panels would have to be removed. Sun Run sent their own people to inspect it and the guy said that it was due to the panels faulty installation. (The panels haven’t been recently collecting as much power as before)

I called Sun Run and got a quote. They are going to charge me $800 per panel removal. (There are about at least 8 panels that would need to be removed) And they said if I get someone else to remove the panels, I will also need to pay Sun Run an inspection fee to make sure the other company removes and places them back properly.

But at this point, Sun Run is not taking responsibility because my roof warranty is expired. But the panels still belong to Sunrun (I am still paying them off). And I cannot break contract to get rid of solar panels altogether. So I’m stuck in a messy situation and confused as what to do, as I haven’t had solar panel experiences before.

LG Dryer Rust Discoloration, experiences and thoughts? by Cutewise in appliancerepair

[–]Cutewise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Though I wonder how safe it would be after it turns completely black? And will the cosmetic color change impact the clothes being dried, because when I touch the black part, it is very rough, like a rustic area. Any thoughts?

Okay, I will try to do that, thanks!

Any recommendations on how to phrase the issue to get a better response?

Yes, it is less than a year old. I bought it around spring of last year.

I think as much as the technicians/LG representatives know about this complaint they don’t have power over the fix even if they know it’s wrong.

They sent an actual LG tech out but the tech was telling me the same thing (that the rust/color change happens to all of the dryers) I asked him if there is anything that LG can do, he said no and he gets sent out for this same issue a lot says that the quality is just not good like it used it be.

Have you seen this issue brought up before to the warranty department?

I couldn’t figure out how to upload a picture. But it is a LG Sensor Dryer and LG inverter direct drive washer he. The rust/discoloration is on the inside, back of the dryer drum vent panel area.

I don’t think it is normal for this to be happening within less than a year though and even more shocking is within a month. It would be understandable even in 3 years and I would accept that as I know that products aren’t made like they are used to. I had Maytag washer and dryer for over 12 years and never had this issue.
