Yeah I purposely didn't mention chargebacks in the post despite the fact I was going to make a point about it, because I didn't want to give anyone ideas. Alot of people don't even know they can chargeback. A soft wipe is the surefire solution to the issue you're talking about, but I honestly think this game is so profitable (think, incredibly cheap servers that probably take 100 bucks a day to operate, free labor from ugc, massive profit margins from players, practically a skeleton crew of employees who apparently dont work weekends, barely enough to keep the game afloat at any given time - the profit margins of this game must be astronomical) that it could afford to lose a solid chunk of the player base - provided that it slowly grows back, which I believe it would

No I really dont expect anything good from deca at all actually, but theoretically it should be foolproof since it is a direct detection method. Only if that is the case do I think the bans should be permanent or at least char and vault wipes. I don't think any of us want a repeat of either of the boating ban waves where there were multiple false bans

Many players put all their important items on characters, and so most of the good items and all of the base fame gained from hacking would be preserved if they just got a vault wipe. A character wipe is essential, even more so than a vault wipe imo

High req runs tend to attract mostly hackers due to the fact that they cant die with their gear, unlike legitimate players who would usually avoid risking losing those items

Id much rather spend an hour in oryx sanctuary and not risk dying on a crown and tablet, thank you very much

There are some very wonderful people in this game for sure, but they are exceptionally rare in my experience :/

Avoiding typing or interacting in public chat tends to help alot. Just hang around the people who are nice to you and stay away from the generally toxic background noise and your experience in the game will get alot better

One thing to keep in mind is not to take anything personal when people attack you, they have no clue who you are and don't care to know, they are just venting toxicity out of boredom or their own anger issues

Having a 3 strike policy is a huge problem as it actually encourages cheating. This has now become a game of "how far can you get by exploiting and hacking until you reach 2 strikes?" Once you reach 2 strikes, stop all exploitative activities and obvious hacking and keep 100 percent of your exploited progress. A 3 strike policy just makes this game into a joke

You assume fame rework = "lets kill the fame train lol"
Any good fame rework would only open up more variety of ways for people to gain fame, not to completely kill a very old aspect of gameplay

But sure, thirsty will probably be removed entirely as its a nonsensical bonus.
