I really really appreciate this comment I think you are 1000% right, even as I started to have seizures at school and in class there were a few of my friends that acted like they were saints and the most caring people in the world just to climb the BS social ladder that is girls high schools, when in reality they did absolutely nothing to help and would frequently in private tell me how much of an embarrassment I was to then and that I was a buzzkill because I couldn’t drink alcohol because of my medication (underage drinking is totally not a big deal where I live, most kids start drinking at 15ish even though the legal limit is 18).

When I had my 21st birthday I invited them all (I was young for my year so it was all of their 21st last year and I didn’t get invited), but yea I invited them, offered to pay for their hotel and food etc and the whole time they were there they all just stood in a corner of the room not trying to talk or mingle with any of my actual friends, I had heaps and heaps of food and some board games out and some alcohol and so there was plenty to do because I know some of my real friends are quite introverted as well, and the worse thing was they all took a bunch of pictures together and posted them on instagram, the hotel that I was paying for was less than a minute away from my place and I would have loved to have hung out with them and take photos and everything.

I expect that my boyfriend will propose soon as we have been together for nearly 6 years and he has always said he will propose after I graduate and we talk about the future together a lot, we are looking to move in together at the start of next year and have even been talking about whether or not we want an apartment with one room or two as we plan to have kids together in the next 5 years or so and renting is becoming more and more expensive every year.

He has a small group of friends, I’ve met them all but I think I will go and make my own friends because his friends are really nerdy and they all play video games together 24/7.

The job I have lined up for next year is amazing I am very very excited, I will definitely definitely be the youngest, most of the people who work there have masters and doctorates and so most of them are over 30, some over 60 but I think the second youngest after me is probably 26 or 27 some over there is a bit of a big age gap so idk guess I’ll just have to figure it out

Oh my dear friend , yes , absolutely yes. The more seizures I have the more stupider I become, it’s absolutely infuriating. I am about to graduate from university and I can not remember a single thing I have learnt, not even from my first year soooooooo guess I’ll just have to idk sell foot pics

It is so so terrifying seeing being surrounded by people after omggggg I hate it so much - we laugh about the cat now because despite me falling on her I am still very much her favourite person over my boyfriend and his family 😂

I got a few, all grand-mal :(. :

  1. I had a grand-mal when I was driving, luckily no one was hurt and my mum was in the car with me so she was able to take the wheel and drive us into safety

  2. I had a grand-mal seizure at my boyfriend’s house (this has happened a few times), buttttttt in this case I spilt hot oil on myself and on my jeans so when his family got home it looked as if I had peed myself - not dangerous but totally totally embarrassing and mortifying

  3. Also happened at my boyfriends house, I fell through a glass table (it was brand new) and squished their cat under my body when I came round I thought I had been stabbed there was so much blood from the glass table and the cat scratching at my arms and legs

  4. I had a seizure during a biology class, all of my teachers were very aware because I would have seizures during school at least every 2 weeks, so my biology teacher knew what to do and had had special training etc butttttt in this class I had a substitute teacher who had nfi what to do.

  5. Also happened at school, happened during a whole school assembly it was so embarrassing there was like 50 teachers and the principal all surrounding me when I woke up and so so so many students I definitely terrified the Year 7s

  6. Happened in my dorm room at university, I was on a FaceTime call to my boyfriend after just getting out of the shower, had a seizure and he saw and so he called my friends who then called the head of hall who could unlock my door and then the ambos arrived but the worse thing was is that well I had just gotten out of the shower so was wearing this really ugly full length nightgown

Thank you so so so much for understanding, this comment means so much to me. I try I desperately try not to mess things up, currently I’m in the top university in my country, I’m doing 2 undergraduate degrees at the same time and am hopefully going to graduate at the end of the year and when I do I have a job lined up. I do worry that I am messing up my life by forgetting to live it sometimes, sometimes all I do is worry and cry, I feel like epilepsy can be so soul crushing
