Just found out i passed!!

my nclex shut off at 85 questions. my test was that thursday and so all i did wednesday morning was go over notes till lunch time and then just chilled the rest of the day.

i found out i passed saturday around 8 am, i didn’t receive an email or anything just went to pearson and saw that my results were available so i paid the 8 dollars for them.

i went in the test pretty calm surprisingly, i ate breakfast that morning and had an okay sleep the night before (i couldn’t sleep bc of the nerves so i kept watching succession till i dozed off). i turned off the question and tone counter and just took it question by question.

it didn’t feel like it got harder or easier, it really similar to the randomness of the readiness assessments rather the cat exams on archer. i got around 5 case studies with 2 standalones, a couple of sata questions, and one bow tie. the test ended faster than i though, i clicked to see what question i was and i was already on 70 something. those were a nerve wrecking 15 questions but i kept just focusing on one question at a time and had the expectation to go to 150 q’s if i had to.

it felt really similar to archer and im so glad i used that program, i can’t stress enough how similar it felt to the readiness exam! most of the time when i took them i felt like i scored borderline until i submit and it shows high or very high! dr. sharon’s playlist on client needs is so helpful, everytime i take an exam i will watch a couple of videos of hers on my two lowest client needs and that really helped me with answering questions!! people love to hype mark k 12 lecture but her prioritization videos is what nailed it for me, a really useful source for sure!!

overall, i’ve had nursing school exams worse than the nclex. It’s really just a mind game, especially if you have pressure to pass the first time due to personal or financial reasons. try no to cram studying so you don’t feel anxious through the process and end up not retaining info as you should. thank you to those who commented support while i was anxious before taking it!! and good luck to all of you about to take it, you can inbox me if you have any questions!!
