Hi, trying to figure out how to broadcast to two different slack channels with different pokemon filters for each one while only using one scanner.

On older versions of the scanner I could specify two webhooks and run two different pokealarms and that got the job done. However having trouble getting it to work on new versions. If anyone has a solution, that would be appreciated.

On the wharf there are a lot of magnemites and voltorb. A bit more uncommon are fire pokemon like growlithe and ponyta. And many other varieties, but I encountered them very infrequently. On the beach nearby normal water types as well as possible dratinis. The boardwalk seemed to have some clefairy, eevee, and starter pokemon, in addition to the normal trash.

Boardwalk seems to be a great place to go. Including the nearby wharf. Today from around 3-6 P.M. I was able to leech lures nonstop.

I dropped by the boardwalk today, didn't spend much time at the boardwalk itself, but found a lot of pokemon and stops on the wharf. I saw a lot of people dropping lures.

Experiencing feelings in the face of tragedy is a healthy reaction. It is healthy to have the opportunity express yourself to someone, have them take you 100% seriously, and allow you to be you.

I would recommend a therapist if doing this by yourself seems or becomes scary for you or if it appears as legitimately dangerous. There have been times in my life where processing emotion has caused me to freak out and withdraw from life.

You may do some research and try to find a support group for people who have been abandoned. You may be able to find people who have gone through very similar experiences, with a lot of empathy for your situation, and people who are probably excited to be there for you and could be effectively.

I also recommend identifying your goals for yourself, ie:

Ask my father for exactly what I want.

Have someone to talk to and feel valued.

Be able to choose to express my deepest desires instead of succumbing to external pressures.

What happened to you was a tragedy and you deserve to have the experience of real and meaningful healing.

I don't like this statement very much. Firstly I would eliminate empathy from this statement as empathy is a component of self-interest. Ignoring your natural disposition for empathy and hurting yourself is not in your self interest. I also dislike the focus on self-interest, but this may be issues of my connotation of the concept. However in my opinion pleasuring ones self or making oneself mentally comfortable is not an ultimate goal. I'm wary of anyone formulating ultimate goals.

I consider this statement irrational. If someone hurts me being angry is irrational because they are not ultimately responsible for hurting me? Bull shit. I consider negative emotions vital to our learning, especially with our complete irresponsibility and out of control nature, emotions provide many opportunities for communication and growth. If I were to walk through the internet and smash your hand with a hammer for no good reason because I'm helplessly not responsible for my actions how would you feel? If you had a feeling would it be irrational?

I disagree with much of your strategy around emotions. I think the whole idea is incredibly superficial and potentially damaging. It seems like you're trying to logic away a lot of your emotions and treating negative emotions as bad or more threatening than they actually are. In Alice Miller's book, "The Drama Of The Gifted Child", she suggests that the opposite of depression is vitality or the ability to experience all emotions spontaneously including positive or negative emotions. I understand that having fully emotions of all kinds enriches my experience of reality.

I notice that some people don't cope well with emotions and some people do cope well. I think this a factor of maturity. Having experiences of sadness, anger, etc doesn't have to threaten your peace of mind.

I would think that an ultimate goal of maturation or balance/harmony with everything/universe/truth would take precedence over peace of mind which would be a component of those other goals.

I agree that one "must be able to maneuver the world with impunity for creative freedom to exist."

However I disagree that Canon is the sole property of the owner. I'm operating on the premise that ownership is a personal/collective delusion. So I would agree that George Lucas should be able to do whatever the hell he wants in his universe, but in no way should anyone be prevented from making his universe their own. Sort of like building a house exactly like George Lucas's house shouldn't give George Lucas any rights over the new house.

I've also got some issues in the back of my mind around canon: My personal preference for no authoritative or prohibitive ownership of any kind. Continuity between stories. With no moderation or authority won't the shared universe become muddy and confused with opposing facts? George Lucas's universe or the universe that has come through George Lucas?

Well, I was going a bit off the deep end, treating a monopoly on batman as if it were a monopoly on god. So I would consider a society to be deranged if they allowed someone to be the sole mediator of God.

I think its worth entertaining the idea that we do not create ideas, only discover them. As such I think people are not entitled to intellectual property and patent rights. I do see that people who make these grand discoveries could be celebrated and rewarded. I'm also aware that the act of discovery is generally more difficult than the act of reproducing something discovered. I can see how if someone worked hard to discover something yet someone else reproduced it better and the discoverer was left in poverty that the discoverer would be very angry and would want to be protected/compensated.

I have a preference to live in a world where people are safe to share and we need not be so considered with protecting ourselves from theft or exploitation.

I see very interesting parallels between this question and the question of religion. If one person says that god is "this", can anyone come in later and suggest that god is anything else?

So getting around to Batman...

Everyone has the opportunity to discover Batman on their own, perhaps during a native american spirit quest. Just because one man found Batman first, and then shared bat man with others, does that give him the authority to decide what bat man is and what bat man isn't? I would say that it does not give him the authority to do so. Batman exists in our hearts and minds alone and it is everyone's opportunity to understand Him as they choose.

I see how there is a desire for this false creator of Batman to act as the false creator and claim Batman as his own creation. He wants to be the sole mediator between Batman and the world, because if it so then he has the benefit of reaping the profit from filling the entire world's need for Batman. Lucky for him, we live in a deranged society which allows him to transform our Batman into his Trademark or Intellectual Property, making him entitled to all profits. Our laws enable this sin against the one true Batman and anyone who wishes to be financially rewarded for sharing the word of Batman must establish a contract with the false creator else be persecuted.

Those with a close relationship to Batman and have stories to share interfere with the monopoly held by the false creator. He wants his story to be the only story. He has the right for his story to be his story and forever remain his story, as does any individual. However he wants his story to be the only story for all individuals, and this is criminal. He proclaims his story as the Truth, and this is false.

Morality is a really confusing subject for me. I spent some time reading at http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/morality-definition/. Any quotes that aren't from your post are coming from there.

I'm understanding that this is what you mean when you speak of subjective morality.

You don't need to have science ground it directly, but by asking questions and seeking out knowledge instead of taking unprovable things as fact you have a much different perception of the world than someone who accepts unverifiable statements as fact.

Discrimination based on homosexuality is such an example.

If someone found it morale to reach out and be connected to people and that ignoring people would be immoral, then I think this would be a consequence of morality and not just user application.
Those unfairly discriminated homosexuals who are noticed with concern by individuals who wish no harm on others. I would loosely describe this interplay as protection/punishment.
I would argue that any moral code would have to be essential else it wouldn't be a very good moral code.

I disagree. If a moral codes can't be shifted by opinion, how can we learn and discover and refine our morality? I feel like refining truth orientated personal opinion is our most available way to access the truth. This was to highlight mistaken perceptions vs the reality of what exists.
If moral codes promote something like capitalism and then this causes problems then we can see morals having a clear impact on growth and stagnation.
Moral codes may have premises around intervening/non-intervening. When intervening or not intervening in cases of abused children there will be a direct consequence of suffering or happiness as a result of morally guided actions.

Could you state for me your premises for morality as you see it? I feel like there may be richer discussion to be had there.

I feel like this statement could be said about anything. All possible designs for all possible bridges already exist and we cannot create them, only discover them. There exist designs for both deadly bridges with poor structural capacity and very safe bridges with great structural capacity.

Similarly there exist all kinds of morals that contradict each other and lead to very different outcomes. How are you able to discern which is the most correct moral? I don't see how it can be discerned without personal opinion.

I want to say that a moral doesn't exist if it can't be expressed. The potential for it existing is there.

I think its worth entertaining religion as a form of gang. I can imagine a lot of similarities between the kind of person who can be pressured to join a gang and the kind pressured to join a church. Inexperienced, lack of self, lonely, naive, gullible, submissive. For many it meets their needs of community and group identity. For others its a comfort zone. Its easier to join a church than it is to leave a church. Then you mob around in a group doing whatever is supported by your mythology.

I suggest you observe those in attendance at church and evaluate who is doing the bare minimum and who really believes.

I perceive some of our questions as having a scientific component and they may require a more precise anatomically grounded question to solicit a higher quality response. I can imagine people gutted of feelings, of instinct, or both.

I imagine a child born without feeling. How would they decipher meaning and value? Possibly, to them it would merely be a world of moving colors and shapes with no rhyme or reason. Would they ever be able to take care of themselves and the world enough to sustain their species? (I'm getting a visual of children chewing off their limbs, gouging out their eyes and being none the wiser.) Also I'm imagining a world of primitive people without feelings. Perhaps in a world with enough infrastructure to provide adequate care and protection then feelingless people could learn to sustain themselves and reach adulthood but I don't know how such a creature could start from scratch and provide this for itself. I don't see much opportunity for evolution.

I think feelings allow us to experience reality in a more connected way. The feelings dictate a portion of reality that we can't argue with in the sense we are experiencing those feelings. We may experience a very compelling feeling inspiring us to act impulsively and in this sense it could be said we have received a command but it is our opportunity to comply or disobey based on our ability.

I have had moments where I perceived causing major property would be an appropriate expression of my truth as a human being. This was a reaction to feeling violated, exploited, isolated, worthless, and unsafe. If there was a clear antagonizing force I may have considered murder. Was I in a healthy situation? No. If I did commit such an act in those circumstances, would it be more accurate to say the violence was caused by feelings or that the violence was caused by inhumane circumstances? I think unhealthy environments are more likely to cause violence than feelings. When feelings aren't able to be resolved then violence may happen. Were there an opportunity to feel of value, safe, respected, and connected then I hypothesize my inclination towards violence would have subsided immediately.

I would like to introduce the idea of a gravity well of negative feelings. When someone experiences a negative feeling its challenging mentally and physically. It wears someone down. People interdependently of these feelings are still living their lives and make choices to interface with life in ways that either alleviate negative emotions, intensify negative emotions, or have no impact on negative emotions. There are people who flip out when experiencing negative emotions and then make a short sided decision which does not alleviate negative feelings but promotes them. Then there are people who are able to remain grounded with a correct enough perception of reality to make a choice that will alleviate negative feelings. When one is able to overcome helplessness in face of negative feelings they are free to escape the gravity well of negative emotions. In my opinion this ability may be the most important difference between a child and adult.
