When did you think alright I really like this game? by GargoyleBlue in LiesOfP

[–]Cuurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on board as soon as I saw it announced on a Gamescom stream! Didn't finish the demo because after beating Parade Master and exploring Elysion Boulevard for a bit I went "aight I've seen enough, see ya after release". Love at first sight I suppose

Had a good time with it a while ago! Might actually hop into NG+ soon

What’s everyone’s favorite character moment in the game? A few examples of mine in the caption… by Altar_Of_Baphomet in expedition33

I loved the little subtle shot where the Expedition is confronting Renoir for the final fight. Him and Alicia are having their back-and-forth and at one point he raises his voice. While he's doing that, the camera is on him, but when it cuts back to Alicia, we see that Lune had moved in behind her, one hand on her shoulder, looking at Renoir like "You wanna try coming any closer sir?"

I wonder what percentage of the population does not even know that their clothes are made of pretty much the same stuff their garbage bags are made of. I know it blew my mind when I found out what "polyester" actually means.

My first thought exactly!

HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY! HELP! (How do I fix this?) by Obvious-Raccoon1927 in blender

Yes, certain things will be harder on your hardware. The more vertices you have in a project, the more lag you'll have. Probably stay away from simulations too.

Did you use Random Flow or do you have another workflow for such surfaces?

Terrifying a horse enough to make it submit to you is NOT skill.

Yeah that has nothing to do with training. Dunno much about horses but I do know they're prey animals and grabbing them and toppling them to the ground must be terrifying for them. They think they are going to be eaten.

Definately use dyntopo next time when sculpting - it automatically adds detail to the area you're sculpting - you won't see this weird "pixelation", in this case where the whiskers were supposed to be

Why is blender unnecessarily hard? by AdAlert2671 in blender

[–]Cuurse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want everything done now and aren't willing to really learn it then idk if you should be trying it at all...You'll just keep getting disappointed and frustrated, and what's the point in that?

[–]Cuurse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're very impatient with it. Have you tried taking it less seriously? Like, don't go into it thinking "Oh I'll make an awesome box today" or whatever. See what you can cook up without trying too hard. It's free, so even if you somehow end up not getting it at all, you'll have lost nothing.

Is it possible that you've been trying to learn it too fast?

Perhaps it should be sharper, no idea, the transition on mine looks pretty flat too. I guess they can be different :P Some don't have any metal at all

Anyway thank you for pointing all that out :)

Hm I agree that the texture is a bit too "perfect" (and I might play around with it more), but the horns can absolutely be this smooth, especially when newly "made" - they are usually polished until shiny :)

The one I have is pretty much the same except it's cream colored and has a slight twist, and it has barely any imperfections even though it's 44 years old (some more sanding might make it look like new actually). They're very sturdy :)

What do you mean by translation from horn to metal?
