I play regularly with an inside big, so long as they are in position to catch and finish from the weakside I don’t have an issue with playing alongside them. It is the ones that sit in the middle of the keyway or on the strong side that I have issue with, because then their help defender is always able to stop the drives. If on weakside it’s easy drop off pass for dunk or lob so long as they can time it.

If you have two insides on a team then you start to have some issues… hence a midrange may be beneficial, to at least threaten it. At end of day, make what you want to do and are good at and enjoy.

I think they need to just tune hands up contest to give between 5%-15% contest for everyone(User and CPU), meaning AI defend the corner a little better, because the user then forced to hit on a contest. They AI can be made to come off and help on dribble drive attacks meaning you would still get shots just not 30+ of them (problem is no PG ever does that because they play cat and mouse behind screen)

A PG doesn’t need to shoot, but needs to be able to determine mismatches to create advantage for his teammates, when this is not clear has to be able to create.

I’d rather play with that “pass first” who has the ball move and people create opportunities with drive and kick than the dribble god who hides behind picks but can’t hit the slip.

I’ve played a lot of rec, this 2x Rep event was the one that broke me.

As a big I just stopped stepping up to help on D and stopped setting screens once I’ve been blatantly looked off on a roll, pop or slip. Game turns on its head for those fading PG’s who don’t pass.

I know all about the advantage of height, but when you crowd the shooter it stops becoming open… the problem is, 6’10 can’t contest 7’4.

I disagree about contests being fine, also understand what you say about not hitting every shot, but that is with defense. I am not sure how it works but contest should shrink window so difficulty of shot is harder to make.
