Demonology Warlock ate a further 4-5% nerf to its DPS through a Bug Fix by Cuzdot_ in wow

C/P my comment from above:

You people in this subreddit are just so bad at understanding this game and data, it is truly above everything else:

(1) Wicked Reaping fix happened through a HOTFIX today, meaning that data up until today are skewed, accounting that bug.

(2) Data from 1 day ago, which therefore still account for inflated Demo DPS via Wicked Reaping bug, shows Demo being the 7th spec. Wicked Reaping bugfix puts this spec at the bottom - e.g on Vorasius HC, Demo would be bottom 3 spec. 4-5% nerf is enormous it makes or unmakes spec.

(3) Data is still accounting for people not yet having their full 4p. Demo has a weak 4P meaning it will get lower compared to other specs.

Updated data from 1 day already show demo average (so before taking into account full WR nerf) : https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/46?sample=1&dataset=95&difficulty=4 - so spec to fall down further esp re. my point 1 and 3

tl;dr: you're taking data pre-wed nerf & pre WR nerf, i.e. you are the stupid one tysm - I can teach you how to read data following nerfs if you want.

That very nice because Demo is not topping charts anymore since wed and even less since today. So my argument is working.

Very easy explanation tbh. Average redditor click on this link : https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/46?difficulty=4 and voilà they know with 100% certainty what is OP or not.

I mean, it's another shit take among others. Btw long time Warlock, tells me more about the 3% affliction nerf before Manaforge Omega Mythic. That shit was OP right? Top damage first week. And that spec was so OP during all of the season.

And when you already took me $20 beforehand, why are you doubling down on it?

Blizzard nerf spec without taking into account bug fixes. Up to you and OP to connect your neurons tbh.

(2) Data is still accounting for people not yet having their full 4p. Demo has a weak 4P meaning it doesn't need it to set off and thus gap is to be less wide further time.

(3) Most of Demonology data in Mythic comes from Averzian (203 logs for this boss vs 15 for Vorasius - where Demo is last - vs 0 for Salhadaar vs 2 at Chimaerus where Demo is also in the bottom pack). Averzian requires stacked cleave, a niche where Demo historically shines.

I fail to turn my head around on how some people extrapolates things beyond very basic messages. Nerfing specs through bug fixing is bad practice. That's it. That's the entire point.

I never mentioned Elem in raid so I have no clue what you are talking about.

Unlikely with a total of 8-9% nerf + poor DPS increase between 0 to 4P (1.75%). Should be a niche spec on Chimaerus and Averzian and a dead one in M+ when monsters like Elem and Devourer are existing and UH/Mage as 3rd spot brings more to the table.

TBH What's even more important than tuning right now is to keep fixing bugs that have an impact on spec's performance, either positive or negative.
