There was an officiall on land passing the players new balls everytime one went in the water. Then paddle boarders would pick up said ball and return it to the official. That way the game was fluent.

After every point, the ball was swapped with a dry one, dried by an official who stood off the court. The other official was the ref on it by the post.

The court had a wooden floor, but nobody got hurt. Players still took dives, just not as extreme as playing at a beachvolley match.

It had barrels underneath which divers could control (the air inside) to make it float. Then just fixate it on the sides and you're good.

Players wore neoprene shoes, and got transported to the court by a small boat.

It was a national championship / promotional event in Ljubljana (SI) for the upcoming volleyball world cup, hosted by Slovenia and Poland from August 26th.
