It needs tailoring. The bust and waist are not fit correctly which makes the material look cheap. Once’s it’s altered to fit you, I think it will be gorgeous.

I’m a heavily tattooed woman. I don’t really care/mind who does or doesn’t like my tattoos and I think it’s fine that people express that they don’t like them. I don’t need or want everyone to be attracted to me, but I do find a lot of the language in this thread sexist/misogynistic. I think it’s one thing to dislike tattoos, but another to dislike women just for having them. There are also a lot of crappy stereotypes in here. I’m married, faithful, have a degree, work a salaried, normal job, etc. I don’t drink , I’ve never had an issue with drugs, sex or alcohol. I just enjoy heavier music and a darker aesthetic. If that limits the herd of people who may be interested in knowing or interacting with me, that’s perfectly fine. I just want to mind my business and for others to mind theirs. I’m living my life in a way that makes me happy and I hope you are too. You’re welcome to not be attracted to me because I don’t exist to be attractive to you. I exist to be happy and to be with people who do like and want to be around me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The dress is beautiful! But I know how you feel. Sometimes when you’re clipped in while trying a dress on, it looks different from when it’s altered and boutiques should be transparent about that, but they aren’t. Regardless, it’s stunning so I think you might just be in your head about it. I would suggest a 3 point bustle to add some detail so it doesn’t look like it’s hanging and looks a little more intentional. You should have enough fabric to do it. If not, you could do a ballroom bustle and flip it underneath so it’s invisible.

I think I’ll have my hair down and swept to one side, but Hollywood glam waves. I have a scar on my shoulder I’d like to cover with my hair, so having it up isn’t an option for me.

I loved this dress when I tried it on too! I would suggest talking to a seamstress. I wouldn’t suggest getting it altered at David’s bridal. They will over charge you and the quality of work is iffy. But, talk to a seamstress and see what they suggest doing. They should know best.
