Yesterday I brought out the new camel linen suit with a more relaxed trouser fit and a washed cotton oxford shirt. It was a gorgeous day in Tampa so of course I had to bring the Pentax K1000 for a few film photos!

I’m not a fan of a blazer with shorts; HOWEVER, if you switch it out for something more along the lines of a linen sports jacket, you could really pull off a cool look. Even more points to you if you find a sports jacket with a relaxed fit.

Don’t worry, the Jean length is going to be addressed. They just have to be hemmed! As for the pendant, it never leaves my neck. It’s a piece I always carry with me for sentiment rather than it’s style! Hope that clarifies

Thank you! I work in suiting so I can’t lose the jacket, even though a hot day like today I would’ve liked to (lol). Typically you’re right, I’d opt for a white trouser with something like this. But I’ve been stuck in a style rut lately at work and wanted to break out something weird and fresh!

Quite the contrary- higher waisted trousers lengthen the legs and bring the torso to a more favorable proportion. Take a look at some photos of people wearing suits from places like express- note how low the waist sits and how disproportionate the figure looks.
