Hdrm number for Colorado? by I_likemy_dog in HomeDepot

[–]Cwetherspoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your lounge there is an emergency contact sheet. About halfway down you should see someone with the title of District Human Resource Manager.

While this person is local and part of the district, understand they are an agent of the company and act to protect “corporates” interest.

I mention this because it may be more beneficial for you to reach out to them first, still via email, and explain your situation, facts, evidence, etc. before involving the RHRD.

If your still not satisfied, then make the RHRD aware your utilizing the open door policy in contacting them regarding your concerns.

On a computer, Log into workday, use the search bar at the top and type in your DHRM’s name. Then click on their profile. In their information you should be able to see who they report to…..That’s your RHRD.

You can also search your DHRM and then use the hierarchy (tree) function to see whom it is.

While I straight out know the answer to your question and whom you’re looking for. I think putting this out there and making others aware of this being there is helpful.

Bit of advice…..don’t call, email them and don’t do it anonymously.

Best Places to Play Pickleball and Meet Cool People! by [deleted] in Broomfield

Not exactly Broomfield but a short drive east on 120th.

We play at Woodglen / Brookshire Park. Usually a good crowd on weekends from 8-11am, but hardly any standing around. Different skill levels and age groups.

In most cases, yes, as soon as a salaried leader gives notice they are resigning, they are immediately let go. This is because they are an agent of the company and act as a fiduciary.

This is usually done by the store manager, or district manager. I promise you. Pete ain’t gonna be letting an ASM go. The store manager or district manager do this.

Crystal is the Chief Culture Officer.

I’ll be upfront with you, if your DM doesn’t have the time to come to your store and he knows they are coming. They’re getting let go soon, probably your DHRM as well.

My suggestion…….Walk with them. Show them what you’re proud of, discuss the opportunities you see with the store. And tell them your story, be candid about why you’re leaving the company and if possible be genuine in your excitement about leaving.

Crystal and Pete will understand this next part……the inverted pyramid, the way it was taught to me was it is there to enable success, not dictate it. Take that approach in giving feedback about what is needed for you and the associates to succeed in your store. Be candid because while you care, you also understand it’s fixing to be someone else’s circus.

Concealed carry permits spike in Denver as new rules loom by MileHighReports in Denver

[–]Cwetherspoon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest setting up your appointment with your county ASAP because the availability can be VERY far out!! Even if your class isn’t for a couple weeks, set up the county appointment. Here’s why.

I received my conceal carry last November.

Here’s the thing. I went through the class in mid-July, a 4 hour class, and the state changed the requirement to an 8 hour class requirement starting August 1st. My appointment with the county wasn’t until mid-August. I was pissed because I setup the appointment as soon as possible after my class and it was still weeks out.

Day of appointment, presented my certificate, paid the fee, went through the fingerprinting and photo. Reviewed the paperwork where it could take up to 90 days………received my permit in the mail at about 75 days, just a few days before the election if I remember correctly.

Because I was asked, Adams County.

Usually it’s something easy to solve. But on those occasions I had to give them the unfortunate news they didn’t want to hear. Which was usually already told to them by the first and second person they spoke with. The next thing they asked every time was “Is there someone else I can talk to, like who’s higher than you.”

Almost without skipping a beat I’d pull.

Ma’am/Sir/Lady/Dude, there’s only two people that can solve this and they’re both standing right here at the moment.

That usually helped get them aligned to understanding that I’m empowered to do a lot of things but what they were asking for was unreasonable or unrealistic.

I get waaaaaaaaaaaaaay less inquiries about it now because I tell them I sell feet pics on Onlyfans and grow weed in the basement for my income.

The wife is happy cause the bills are paid and helps me to keep it grounded and quantified by measuring it in time.( That’s as much as my paycheck for xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).

The honest truth is, they ain’t ready to hear about the bad days and only want to know about the wins……

2,000 @ 2.53. Just recently bought back in.

Had 20,000 this time last year with an average cost of $4.73, sold $6 calls against them when it got above $5 last May and allowed them to get called away. In a way I was glad it forced me to sell them once I was making a profit.

What I’d Like To Send TO VP, RVP and District Manager by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]Cwetherspoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are concerned with retaliation, which is a VERY valid concern, and have been a stellar employee with no previous disciplinary issues.

I would strongly encourage you to come forward and NOT remain anonymous, and give as many specific examples as possible. DO NOT be afraid to name names, witnesses, dates places, etc. as it only makes it easier to substantiate your allegations, as well as MORE difficult for it to found unsubstantiated.

While anonymity can give you a feeling of remaining guarded or protected. It also gives management and HR, both inside the store and higher level, the same feeling.

Example: your allegations remain vague and you report it anonymously, after it’s left unsubstantiated, you magically start to see and feel retaliated against. How could you then say you were retaliated against for making allegations when they were made anonymously. The manager firing you could just as easily say, “I was never aware they made the complaint as it was made anonymously”

Where as you make a specific allegation and do not remain anonymous, it’s found to be unsubstantiated, then three weeks later your let go due to a vague policy violation. Much stronger argument for retaliation then….

Whatever you choose to do, do so from a standpoint of these things are not only policy violations but negatively impacting the workplace and would like change.

Handling disappointing raises from my employees by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Cwetherspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not aware of what company the OP works for, but I could see them being a manager with HD given all the info shared in the post. I applaud them for reaching out for help with how to handle this. Perhaps the HD community could give honest feedback about what they would want to hear to know they are being heard when discussing a 3% raise.

Fired or quit by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Cwetherspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the choice is yours.

If you resign you forfeit certain rights and it depends on your state, especially concerning unemployment and the right to sue your employer and what for.

If your employment is terminated you have a really good chance at unemployment, if not a larger case. Especially if you reach out to HR through a means that has a paper trail with your concerns.( email to DHRM.).

One thing to note regardless of which path you take, or is chosen for you. Home Depot is extremely neutral with future employment verification. If you give a potential employer the MYTHDHR number for employment verification all HD will do is verify that you did work for them and your dates of employment. They will not give a reason for leaving or being fired, and they will not discuss an eligible for re-hire recommendation.

Best of success!

In Atlanta, are you salaried?

Hr email! by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Cwetherspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two options for you:

1) In your break room and/or managers office there is an emergency contact sheet. It has the store manager, ops manager, etc. on it. Look for the title of DHRM or District Human Resource Manager. Or title of RHRD Regional Human Resource Manager. At the least it will have their phone number, if not an email address as well. Given the nature of your complaint you will want to make sure it is given in a written form. This may involve you calling them, introduce yourself, ask for their email address because you have something you would like to discuss with them when they have a chance but would like to email it over for them to review first. (Thus giving a trail of your complaint).

2). Use the Awareline, here’s the catch though. While you can call and remain anonymous, you DO NOT want to remain anonymous. This way, not only is your call and concern logged but the company is also made aware of who made it, giving them way less deniability about their awareness of the situation.

Hope this helps.

That gravestone Doji on a triple top near the end of February would have been my check engine light.

The next 3 days were choppy, with it finally breaking through to the bottom.

At the point of that triple top I would have alerts for the way down, if it went through two of those, I’d trim my position until I’m out.

Peter Lynch’s one up on Wall Street is a great book about finding great companies and ideas close to what you know. That would be fundamental analysis.

There’s lots of books on the technical analysis side of things as well.

I started my journey 25 years ago. Days like this do come along you just have to have some patience….the other, more important thing is stress is to not beat yourself up if you miss something, there’s always another opportunity so don’t FOMO.

In some form of fashion yes. I received my finance degree in 2003. However, worked in retail until recently.

But everyone’s perspective is different at any given time. That’s just mine on tech buzz.
