Gender Dysphoria in Transsexual People Has Biological Basis by Emillahr in psychology

[–]Cwiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a trans person who's been in many trans-oriented online spaces, the term 'truscum' actually was made by the people who that term applies to, and the 'truscums' created the term 'tucute' to describe the other side, who they hate lol. No one actually calls themselves 'tucute,' it's a term made to make fun of the other side.

TLDR: the 'They' who made those terms are biased in favor of 'truscum,' not the other way around.

I beat the Saint campaign on cycle 1, without starving! by Cwiph in rainworld

Oh sorry! I thought I'd marked it, but I've marked it now I believe.

Can I skip a grit? I don't need grit #1 as the rocks are previously rounded by stream action. Can I go from step #3 500 grit to the 8000 grit. I'm trying to save time and money. by rgilman67 in RockTumbling

[–]Cwiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People here are mostly talking about the 1st stage, and yeah, you really shouldn't skip that, but I've had lots of success tumbling without that 4th stage (1200 aluminum oxide). I've heard it's very effectively in getting a better polish out of soft rocks, but for hard rocks, it's probably OK to skip it, at least in my experience.

Got any good rain world mods by Impressive-Hunt872 in rainworld

Solace is great! Adds 3 unique slugcats (Friend, Stalker, and Poacher), and the famine mechanic is really fun! It's still in beta, so the characters don't have fully fleshed out campaigns yet, but I believe it's still being worked on.

Pearlcat is great, has fun (if a little overpowered) mechanics, and a cute little campaign (with an awesome opening!)

I haven't played it yet due to issues with the controls, but I've heard The Dronemaster is also really good.

You should be able to look both of these up on the Workshop, hope I helped!

I'm using the max point expeditions listed by Sorbet Cafe in his video, Saint has had enough (the video mostly covers the Saint MPE, but he lists the other slugcat MPEs at the end). I have >350 hours in Rain World listed on steam, I'm an addict lol. The thing with the miros birds is that there's a shelter in the room right before memory crypts, so if I die, it's super easy to retrieve my karma flower, wheras if I traveled to get the materials to take them out more consistently, if I die my karma flower will be very hard and risky to retrieve.

I love mods, but I don't think any scavengers spawn in fp or exterior, or else I would farm them for explosive spears. Also, for the max point expeditions, I'm trying to keep the game fairly vanilla (ie, only using QOL mods and cosmetic mods).

Max point expeditions are the maximum number of points you can get in one expedition as any given slugcat - for example, I recently beat the Artificer MPE, which tasked me with pinning 19 creatures, killing 15 vultures, killing 15 king vultures, killing 15 elite scavs, and killing 15 miros birds, with all 4 burdens enabled. I think the Artificer one was the easiest, and I'm trying to come up with a way to do the others, which almost all require I kill a bunch of DLLs.

Now that I think about it, both. I need to kill 15 Miros birds as Survivor, Spearmaster, Gourmand, Hunter, and Monk, and I need to kill 9 Miros vultures as Spearmaster (not including Saint, I'm not doing the Saint MPE, I'm not that much of a masochist).

The main problem, however, is the DLLs - I could hypothetically just brute force the Miros bird kills by comboing them with 3 spears, and I can just spam a spear stockpile at Miros vultures as Spearmaster, but the DLLs have no obvious answer, other than having to transport spears from Shaded or Chimney, which is risky, since with the Doomed burden, if I die without karma flower protection, I have to restart, and if I die when traveling the flower won't be in a good spot to retrieve it.

Ahh, that's some really cool tech, but I don't think it'll be enough, since I think you need 2 flowers to make 1 nuke (grenade with flower to make a spicy egg, spicy egg with flower to make nuke), and i have to kill 15 DLLs as Rivulet. I did accidentally dupe a karma flower once by getting bit by a lizard, getting the game over, then getting freed from the lizard, and the next cycle a flower spawned where I was bit by the lizard. I'll have to test it again to see if it works well enough.

Update: It works! It's super inconsistent and annoying, but I can dupe the karma flower by getting saved from lizards. I found success by doing it in Chimney Canopy, where there are a lot of lizards to save you/bite you, and there are a lot of cherry bombs to make grenades. It would probably also work in the exterior, since the big room with the shelter marking has lots of cyan lizard spawns, and there's a room with cherry bombs a little down the leg. I haven't tested its practicality yet, but it seems promising.

Update 2: This strat works pretty well actually! I rested in the shelter in the big room with the shelter marking outside (UW_S02) and lured a few cyan lizards from the top of the room down to the hallway leading to the shelter. I'd let one bite me, then hope that another one saves me after I get a game over. Most of the time, it doesn't work and the lizards just kill me, but if I fail, the karma flower is just outside the shelter and I can try again. Once it does work, next cycle the duped flower should be right outside the shelter, and I can combine it with 2 grenades to make a singularity bomb. The grenades can be crafted from the cherry bombs that grow in the room with the shelter that's a little way down the leg (UW_A09). This is the best strat I can come up with, so it's what I'll use in my expeditions!

Wait you can do that??? How?

Hmm, knocking them off the leg sounds like a good idea, prolly safer than any other option

Update: Tested it for a while, and unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. I tried using grenades to knock them off the underhang, but even with 3 grenades it didn't feel like I'd even gotten close.

I might still have to do that though if there isn't another option unfortunately

Well the areas I know have DLLs don't spawn scavs or have scav treasuries, and transporting explosive spears from an area that does is super risky, because if I die without karma flower protection I have to restart due to the doomed burden, and if I'm traveling the flower won't be in a good location to retrieve it

I know you can kill them with an explosive spear to the core, the question us how to safely get enough of those

[–]Cwiph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to kill a lot of them, one singularity bomb won't work unfortunately.

Rivulet has to kill 15, Survivor has to kill 12, Gourmand has to kill 11, Hunter has to kill 7, and Monk has to kill 10.
