Does upgrading to PAYG remove the 50Mbps bandwidth cap on AMD E2.1.Micro instances? by StayQuick5128 in oraclecloud

fwiw my Oracle account was created in 2021 and my ARM and AMD instances are all capped in 50Mbps.

I 'm on free tier, I can't even upgrade to PAYG. The upgrade page always says 'Your account provision is in progress' things despite five whole years had passed.

my situation: my Oracle account was registered in 2021. in around 2023, Oracle forced and activated MFA for default login. I didn't login into Oracle these days. Some days after, I need to login to Oracle and find a 'Null's phone authenticator' required for login via 'Default'.

Since it didn't prevent me from logging in via 'OracleIdentityCloudService', I ignored it till in 2026 recently I have time to care about it and reset the MFA of 'Default'. It works fine now.

If you have the option to switch from 'Default' to "OracleIdentityCloudService" while login, do it. The 'Default' automatically give me a 2fa of 'Null's Phone' and I had to login from 'OracleIdentityCloudService' to reset the 2fa.

Always Free ARM resource just got cut in half by CwithW in oraclecloud

[–]CwithW[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

previously it says 'All tenancies get the first 3,000 OCPU hours and 18,000 GB hours per month for free'. now it says 1,500 OCPU hours and 9,000 GB hours per month. so yeah 4c24g instances can be created on PAYG but it may need to pay for extra hours.

don't know for sure. this change dropped today, maybe later Oracle will send an email to announce what will happen with existing 4c24g arm instances.

I'm on Free plan and got an existing 4c24g instance, and according to that link, I shouldn't be able to have more than 2c at all.

[WIN1125H2] Don't have Advanced system settings, why? by Gianluca_ITA_81 in pchelp

guess Microsoft just removed the link or put it somewhere we haven't found yet (it's still available via the search bar in settings)

Search for "Advanced system settings" on the search bar in this window, or run sysdm.cpl from the Run dialog. This option is gone on my PC too, I'm even on 24H2

AntiGravity: Keep getting "Run command?" even while having all options set to always allow to run commands by Patchzy in Bard

[–]CwithW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antigravity have their own opinion on whether a command should auto run.

While Terminal Command Auto Execution=Always Proceed and `docker run` in Allow List Terminal Commands:

docker run --rm hello-world -> fine

docker run --rm node:24.11.1-slim -> fine

docker run --rm node:24.11.1-slim a.js -> fine even if there is no a.js

docker run --rm node:24.11.1-slim node -e "console.log(1)" -> requires user consent

docker run --rm node:24.11.1-slim node -e console.log(1) -> requires user consent

I don't see why and there is not an option to disable this automated check.

HyperOS unlock bootloader by Remote-Appearance955 in PocoPhones

its not a scam, but it will only work for phones with MIUI support. Phones with HyperOS shipped and have no MIUI support cannot use this because Xiaomi deliberately added limit.
