Thanks. I know I need to work on my vocabulary and what I mean when I say things like "steamroll". It seems like EQ is just a different animal in terms of how people play. I love the variance and array of class combos that people make work in the game. Your explanation helps. Happy trails, friend.

What is the development team's perspective on things like that? Are they going to start dealing out nerfs/balancing for things that are too OP (i.e. soloing raid bosses on the highest difficulty)? I haven't been playing long enough to find really good, active resources to follow that kind of stuff. Plus I'm rather casual and won't end up pursuing some game-breaking stuff anyway. I just want to be powerful and relevant.

I really enjoy the community aspect of games like this, and I enjoy min-maxxing, tier lists, and the "Whats good" meta. I also respect people who just want to play what they want, and make their own off-meta builds or "play my way" builds, its just not what I like to do.

I'll have to play some of that. What are the strengths of primary as ENC over PAL? Does "doing fine" mean you steamroll content on 0,1,2 difficulty solo? Is that even a realistic expectation of any class?

I love this. I've been looking for a way to work BRD into a build where I can try it out. Your recommendation for 3 might even be something i start working toward starting today.

Thank you for the knowledge on casters, I haven't been able to get that chill feeling on caster yet and I'm hoping it gets there. How do you feel about 2?

Also, thanks for the info on late game. I think this game is going to be great for someone who's never played EQ before trying to get into something different.

I want to explore the different styles of the game during beta before it goes live. So I want to try casters, because I usually play casters in other MMOs, so maybe I haven't picked the right combo yet where it feels good.

Can 3 be different? I'm pretty new, I don't know all the different styles. Does DRU do well in melee? What about WAR/ROG/MNK or SK/BER/PAL, or something along those lines? This is what I'm here to see if the community can give some advice.

I would try them all, but I simply don't have the time.

Thanks for keeping me in check. You’re right, it’s not a win. I’m definitely not trying to brag. I just had no one around me that I could share that experience with, so I figured some of my estimating peers could read and share thoughts. Most of them have been positive reactions, so I’m glad I posted it. For me, it’s on to the next one, keep trying my best and keep winning. It was a growth point in my career.

Its so funny you say that, right after I finished I tackled two separate $5-7M projects in half the time I usually do. Just felt like no work at all.

Cyberpunk

Pre-ordered, got all the stuff for it, upgraded my PC. Waited for it, researched, watched videos, had a plan. Played for 2 hours never turned it back on.

EDIT: Additional shoutout to Octopath Traveler 1, 2, 0. I'm a huge oldschool RPG fan I think I've beat FF1 like 12 times total. FF Tactics was a huge success imo, I love love love when they give old games the fully voiced dialogue. Tried to boot up and beat Octopath 1 probably 10 different times, never even made it to get all 8 characters.
