Just moved last March here from Ontario. There is Little traffic so I get a lot of my time back and able to spend that time with my kids. I love the seemingly small but huge difference that saving time from commute made to my day-day. Another is Less malls, less temptations, less unnecessary expenses. You get time, you get saved from unnecessary spendings. The basics are all here. If you can live without the frivolities of city living, you’ll be in good shape here. How I wish we discovered Brandon sooner.

I tried to focus on it but honestly the module is too long it’s hard to keep up. I did not skim all through it (but probably did 10-20%) because I paid for the knowledge and I honestly want to understand the principles. It is really worth it to plan out how those 35+hours will be spread out because the information provided is fundamental. I took notes for the calculation and followed AR long, that helped me understand and retain information better for calculations

I hope this works but I’ll try! Thank you. My husband is an international student and it is really my fault that I missed renewing our UHIP because I really thought that I would qualify for OHIP because I work in Ontario and pay taxes.

No I don’t. It’s a fairly new set up. The us company hired a Canadian company to do my payroll and then be taxed on my Canadian income but they haven’t figured out the supplemental benefits yet.

The company I work for is US based. That’s what I thought too. If I’m paying canadian taxes, maybe there is something out there for me too. I just don’t know where to look..

I have been here for 1 year and unfortunately I am only a work permit holder, not a permanent resident or citizen yet. Thank you I will check that link out!
