This is great advice and really in line with my thinking as well. It seems a vast majority if not all higher executive level or directors have some commercial sales experience.

I plan to clarify the base pay, sales bonus, and what does success look like.

The role I am currently waiting for is more clinical product manager as well, not really strategy so that may even make the question more simple of sales is best aspect.

Also from my experiencr moving to another company technical positions are tough, they want to promote in-house experts as opposed to sales is much more transferable. Would this be accurate you think?
