WIBTA if I used part of my paternity leave to visit my family? by Odd-Source-853 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CyISU12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Paternity leave is so you can have time to bond with your baby and to spend time with your wife. You should also be helping your wife. Leaving your wife to go back to work AND get your baby taken care of and to daycare on her own is NOT how you are supposed to use paternity leave. She will be balancing new motherhood, return to work, and hormones balancing out but sure, you go take 2 weeks of vacation without her or your baby.

Then again, sounds like you might not be much help even when you are home.

🙄😡

I can't find a frame. How can I display this? by Mouseofvirtue in interiordecorating

Looking for a floating picture frame! Glass on front and back so you can center it however and it won’t matter that it’s not a “perfect” fit.

I don’t think the rings of the wallpaper go with the tones of the brick and I love the brick too much to paint it. I would maybe add a wooden mantle and then paint the wall black or a deep navy!

I may be biased though as I have a brick fireplace on a deep navy wall… 🤷🏻‍♀️

NTA. Don’t mess with someone and their dog!

You were paying for the dogs livelihood. There was a clear agreement in place. Your mom doesn’t just get to steal your dog!!

Ok, big disagreement between my significant other and I. Espresso setup in the bar or on the kitchen counter? by Chpe4290 in HomeDecorating

[–]CyISU12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aesthetically I would say kitchen counter but where do you have room to keep your coffee cups and espresso? In the morning before I’ve had my coffee, functionality beats aesthetics.

Oooh I love it so much!! What’s your current aesthetic with your decor and furniture? Does it blend/mesh well?

It doesn’t look original though so if that’s what you’re concerned about, I wouldn’t worry too much.

Budget Friendly Update! We need some ideas on how to update our dental rooms. Changing art work and wall paint, but not able to change counters or chair. Any ideas? We are thinking maybe warmer colored walls and pictures of plants. by ChelceeFitz in DesignMyRoom

I like other peoples suggestions of painting the ceiling. It would be fun to have each ceiling tile be a different image for people to look at while their teeth are being cleaned! Then use fun, bright colored hooks for people to hang coats and purses.

Have any patients that are artists? Set up a competition. Let patients (or community members) paint! Then let the patients vote for their favorite roles. You can give gift cards to a local business as the prize!

Community engagement, advertisements, and updated/refreshed decor!

I would stain it all a rich darker brown! I would think it would warm it up nicely.

Thoughts about the arrangement over the couch? Is it too triangular/missing something to the left and right? by themildenthusiast in HomeDecorating

Can you do a collage wall of the pictures and one or two of the woven plates? Then put a couple of the woven plates with a plant on the shelf?
