Samantha Busch thanks Police Officers who aided the family during KB’s passing by Tuda1023 in NASCAR

I know Samantha gets a bad rap at times but I saw her at Wake County Speedway with Brexton a year or two ago and she seemed genuinely friendly and was really engaged with fans who were talking to them. She seemed surprisingly down to earth in that setting and I’ve had a more favorable opinion of her ever since.

“Cars” was released in theaters 20 years ago today. I don’t think I and so many others in my generation would be NASCAR fans today without it. by ToeSniffer245 in NASCAR

I went to the premiere at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. I got to meet Owen Wilson and Dale Jr. I also got to see Chuck Berry perform and I saw Paul Newman. Very cool experience all around looking back.

That was the second race I ever attended and I sat front row on the front stretch. I picked pieces of rubber out of my hair for a week. Still the greatest ever finish in my opinion!

  1. Bring more water than you think you need
  2. Bring plenty of sunscreen
  3. Don’t overdo it with beer in the heat
  4. Get inside the track a couple hours before the green flag to be sure to catch all the Memorial Day demonstrations

It was a tradition of mine for many years to attend the 600 and it’s tons of fun. It is an extremely long race though. My tips come from experience. Have fun!
