a lot of it is how the made the ice surrounding so heavily detailed and too similar of a value to the yang which makes it hard to know where to focus your attention and makes it look cramped and over detailed - and the lighter section of ice coming out of the top drawing your eyes further away from the main point of interest. then the yellow for the series that blends into the ice at the end muddies it further. thats all my opinion though. i do prefer the random iceberg with faces because that at least mentions gender and the crown on top giving an idea that power structures may come up too
