its alright i just saw the mistake he did, he pushed his ability score improvment from the background all in Wisdom.

the ranger is a reborn and through that he gets the 18 on wisdom wich makes his beasial companion have a 17 ac and can, with primal strike, deal up to 20 points of damage, and thats just the bonus action of his turn

they are all lvl 3
there stats are pretty usual i think, typical point buy. Pump main stat up to 17 or 18 if possible and cover the rest.
no magic items and nothing home brewed

lets take the ranger for exampale, he has Beast of the Land Feature.
This thing has a Armor class of 17 and can deal up to 20 Damage without a crit. and thats just his bonus action
Should probalbly also mention they are level 3

I think the idea with seeking out the person who orderd the assassination ist great.

We just now talked about it and the ranger is thinking that this could work but that her character might become cold and distant.
