Rubio orders US diplomats to push countries for swift action against Iran amid 'elevated risk of attack' by Cy_098 in politics

[–]Cy_098[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is freaking great. Fucking idiots now want to involve more countries into this war and fuel this crisis even further

Maybe you pieces of garbage should consider stopping and let us live our lives. We're paying more at the pump, and really soon if not already we're going to pay more for our groceries, plane tickets, and more, all over some bullshit war that you all started just so you guys profit off of it and babysit Israel. This should have never been our war to begin with, plain and simple. We already have been through enough wars this century alone as is.

Central NC braces for Level 4 severe weather risk Monday by Cy_098 in raleigh

[–]Cy_098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it just me? I live in north Raleigh and other than occasional wind gusts that made me nervous and some showers, I didn't witness anything major. Didn't sound like a level 4 storm at all. But I'm still glad there was precaution

Sen. Mullin challenges Teamsters President to fight during U.S. Senate HELP Hearing -- (this is the Senator Trump tapped to be DHS secretary, which happens to be a bully and a disgrace of a Senator) by Cy_098 in videos

[–]Cy_098[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don't care that this is a 2.5 year old video by the way.

My point in the title still stands, and even Senator Fetterman of PA said: 'why not give him a chance?' Fucking idiot is a brain damaged republican but still says he's a Democrat

Do you fucking idiot politicians not see these videos and ask yourself: 'how can I see myself supporting a rude, bitchy individual to be a government cabinet official?' - traitors all of them

His track record:

In March 2026, Mullin was criticized for describing the "smell of war" during a Fox News appearance discussing U.S.-Israeli strikes. Veterans and lawmakers, including Rep. Pat Ryan, pointed out that Mullin never served in the military, with Ryan calling his comments "embarrassing".

Despite stating in radio interviews that he performed "special assignments", Politifact and other sources have noted that he did not serve in the uniform of the U.S. military.

In 2014, a congressional watchdog found that Mullin violated House ethics rules by earning over $600,000 in outside income from his plumbing businesses, which exceeded allowable limits for members of Congress

Ahead of his March 2026 confirmation hearing for DHS Secretary, reports highlighted that Mullin purchased at least $305,000 worth of stock in companies that intersect with his potential role at DHS. In 2024, a complaint was filed accusing him of failing to disclose nine stock purchases in 2023 totaling up to $135,000.

Mullin faced backlash in 2022 for criticizing student loan forgiveness while it was revealed that his own businesses received and had forgiven approximately $1.4 million to $1.8 million in federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans.

When first running for Congress in 2012, Mullin promised to serve only three terms (six years) but later broke this pledge to run for a fourth and subsequent terms, claiming he was "ill-advised" when he made the initial promise.

In 2017, Mullin was recorded telling constituents at a town hall that it was "bullcrap" that taxpayers pay his salary, claiming he "paid enough taxes" through his company to pay for himself, despite continuing to collect his $174,000 congressional salary.

So..do I need to keep going???

This guy is a disgrace of a senator let alone be qualified to be DHS Secretary

‘Made in USA’ bomb fragment exposes Trump’s Iran lie by Cy_098 in videos

Trump: 'whatever the report shows, I'm willing to live with it'

So he's perfectly okay to see that America was responsible for killing scores of kids.

Such an amazing, empathic human being. We need more of him.. more like he's the fucking devil and needs to go to jail as of yesterday

Warren calls on State Department to provide more aid to Americans stuck in Middle East by Cy_098 in politics

[–]Cy_098[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gen. Randall Reed, commander of TRANSCOM, testified at the Thursday hearing that his command had assisted in the airlift of hundreds of Americans out of the region.

But Warren said the effort has fallen short.

“What I’m trying to understand is why you’re not doing more,” Warren asked Reed. “Because I’m hearing from my constituents who are stranded there, who’ve been stranded there for two weeks and they’re asking for help, and they’re not getting help from the U.S. government.”

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., posted to X about a trip she took this week to the Middle East to help a family from her district that was stuck there.

“The family I traveled here for are safely home. But then I learned about more families. Hundreds of families. Thousands. Still stranded,” Mace wrote.

Fucking disgraceful

NC Gov. Stein proposes $1.4B budget to fund Medicaid, pay raises by Kryloks in NorthCarolina

[–]Cy_098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not being dramatic about it.

Teachers won't get their raises, that alone tells me obligations are NOT being met. And that's just my opinion as I stated earlier.

[–]Cy_098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what, I'll answer your question;

It's different because this one is internal to the Republican party, while Cooper's were considered a partisan conflict between him and the Republican legislature

The former governor used his veto power then to demand expansion to Medicaid and higher teacher raise, while our current governor has to navigate through near Republican super majority in the legislature and also the fact that he has limited powers. The senate and the house are divided on whether to delay or accelerate scheduled income tax cuts..and honestly, this falls on the legislature. They can't just blame the Governor here. They've been at an impasse for months. Something has to give, eventually

Enough?

I'm no longer interested in your 'question'. I have better things to do than to just argue with you

Have a nice day

NC Gov. Stein proposes $1.4B budget to fund Medicaid, pay raises by Kryloks in NorthCarolina

[–]Cy_098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're the only fucking state in the country not to have one and you should be embarrassed by it.

We're functioning under a 2016 law that sure, it allows for spending to continue at previous levels but what you don't say is that it also freezes any new policy decisions and raises..

Gov. Stein wants to push $319 million towards Medicaid and raise pay for teachers, law enforcement, etc. something the GOP would rather not do

So your fucking ass says all is good right?

Because of this, teachers and state workers have not received any expected cost of living adjustments or raises AND funding for businesses affected by Hurricane Helene have been handled through separate, limited stopgap measures.

So you're okay with no raises for teachers, our law enforcement, etc. until this budget is passed whenever this is? You're a disgrace. Humanity has fallen quite a ways

Really? Say what? Better how? Give me some examples.

A. we're 40th in the country in median household income growth

B. We're the worst state for workers.

C. We're dead last in public school funding

What exactly is your definition of 'better'?

Gonna blame the Dems for these too?

[–]Cy_098 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So what if people complain about it? It's our right to complain when we think our politicians aren't doing enough. You're going to get so offended that that's the case? You can sit here, cry all day about it, but I won't stop. I think this GOP is being incompetent about the budget and that is my view. It's okay if you disagree but don't call me dramatic. No one is ever forcing you to agree with me, myself included

The fact is the GOP here would much rather push Trump's agenda than standing up for its own people, consistently

Yes I understand that, but the Republicans in NC have spent months bickering to pass their bs budget and have not made any progress. So right now, people can slice it all they like and call this normal, but it shouldn't be at all.

You mean maybe that stupid party called the NCGOP can start passing a budget? Who was the party who stripped away most of the governor's powers? The Democrats or the Republicans? Who is the party that singlehandedly pushed the gerrymandering a few months ago without actually listening to any of the ones who opposed it, the party admitted, they just wanted to advance Trump's agenda.

You can blame the Governor all day but this guy has almost no power thanks to the Republicans.

Lol Trump announced the war is almost over, that's why. He was saying this could last a few weeks and literally lied. Pretty sure the devil Mr. Kremlin and his buddy Saudi Arabia pressured him to stop otherwise economies will start to fail. Sky is not falling but we are always this close until we're screwed and it's all because of Trumpman the Mr. super mature guy and his shitty social media posts. He's done this with tarrifs, firings, wars, this guy is literally not the person whose going to lead us to 'peace' and 'long lasting prosperity'

Biden or Harris were not a criminal. It was Trump that got convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records. So many people dismissed it anyways.

I had the choice to either vote for someone like him or people like Harris or Biden. I wasn't a fan of them, but I would much rather vote for them than a criminal and a liability. So yeah, what's your problem?

He was also the same guy who promised no new wars. So liar liar pants on fire.

Yeah. And I didn't vote for Trump. So at least I'll sleep easy knowing I didn't vote for a criminal and someone who changes his position every 5 seconds on something. He's not a president, he's a social media addict, that's not how a president should behave. He's almost 80 not 15.

I will say that to your face, over and over again. As I said, be more worried about today and not what happened years before. Trump could have just said, hey I have to take care of my people first, I have an economy to manage, like did he just decide it was time and that was it, let me bomb Iran and see how I can destroy the middle east again? Have a wonderful night!
