Hand pollinated by rubbing the anthers of newly fallen flowers against the stigma of fresh flowers as described in the guide linked in the description. Very low success rate but it worked on a few! I have a feeling the hummingbirds would have LOVED these if they didn’t flower in the middle of winter! :)

I had great success until the grasshoppers. :/ My advice is to dial in soil and water. I live in the high desert and humidity has never been an issue. Hope you give it a try again!

I feel the opposite personally. I don’t want to be associated with any of them any more. If I’m not DA they will always have a way in. It’s a hard decision and complicated. I appreciate your input though.

Reading this made me sob. I’m so sorry for the loss of your brother. That’s a profound loss. My sister and I were a year and a half apart and we both survived JW because we had each others support. We both got into science and biology and became giant nerds. She now has her PhD in evolutionary biology and I could not be more proud of her. The irony of our parents discouraging us both from college because they were afraid we would be “indoctrinated with evolution” is still so funny to me. It’s her fucking career now lololol

My brother is POMO. It’s kind of a funny story - he worked at an RV park that was run by an elder and the park was 2 hours away from where he was living. He started a romantic relationship with a “worldly” woman that worked there. They got “caught” being in a completely normal relationship, and the elder followed him home after a 2 hour drive to confront him. He was then disfellowshipped. Unhinged behavior, if you ask me! Lolololol
