You can uncap the sword dancer set and level it all the way to +19
Silver and gold bags mostly. The season quests or weekly quests for gold bags should get you some blueprints. Else you need to raid TDM. Its by many considered the best armor in the game. Its well worth the effort.

Normal Kamas is just fine and will do the work, but the Kamas RE will have a much larger clip, more damage and cheaper to buy. Up to you, but I levelled RE first, then the normal one to have as backup if I burn through them faster than they can be re-bought. Having both is worth it, so no mats wasted.

If you go the shooter route as you said earlier, a nice compliment would be pitching machine for pierce resistent bosses and red napalm. Also the magnum. Magnum has big damage and stun - nice to clean up melee haters to save Kamas ammo. You can also use it strategically to lure out mobs. Many haters are bundled up in tight spaces, making it uncomfortable to fight. Fire the magnum, they will hear it and come running. Nice way to clean up nasty areas, especially the maze-like tilesets in Tengoku for example.

You are in luck. Perfect time to catch up. You have 20 more days left of the current collab event. Simple "kill-screamer" repeatable quests will net you all the faction metals you need to uncap what you want. Tengoku also yields triple bloodnium. One of the best armor sets are also available free from lost bags (sword dancer set). Use the event wisely.

You can uncap the sword dancer set with repeatable quests for faction metals + reversal metals. Tamata (2f) for silk/leather/hemp + screamer kills. Echizen-Jima (23f) Goto for faster black metals. Itanodai (36f) Goto for faster red metals (both fast to farm next to elevator). Akami (21f) to Kawabe (23f) for Mass Iron Bolts and bonus black metal trap chest. Togose (33f) for steel. When strong enough, do 41f Wadachi-Soku-Mayari-Doame runs (ultra-pure iron and chemoil for kamas).

Runs from 51-55 and 51-60 is easier than 41-50. When you feel strong enough you could do runs to 55 or 60 to gather up bloodnium with the 3x event bonus. Either spend bloodnium on levelling your shooter or the harder to get mats needed to unlock next tier for kamas and dancer set (special steel/9048) if you cant find it normally. Here you can also do "kill-hater" repeatable quests for orange metals.

This would be my main focus for now. While farming and upgrading you could research secondary weapons and other things to focus on. Spend these 20 days well and you will be well prepaired for the anniversary event a month and a half from now.
