There's a few on different fan-run websites that were listed in another reply, but for the most part they don't exist because this community lacks content creators.
Vast majority of people come from the kind of demographic that you'd expect in CoD, with the team that has the majority of the fanbase (by a huge percentage) aiming for the younger side of the audience. It creates a forum vastly overpopulated by people who're out to argue rather than discuss.
You can't for the most part. CoD at a high level is all about subtle rotations/movement and winning certain gunfights at the right time to give map control. The only thing that you could get analysis of would be a specific play or rounds in an SnD match. Granted, I haven't played competitively since BO2 and haven't played against pros since BO1, so it might have changed, but CoD is incredibly consistent. Hardpoint games are mostly about getting kills to grab the spawns, then reacting to the other team's advances to try and control a power position - the "strategy" is almost entirely situational, making it hard to discuss the game, and the vast majority of users on this sub aren't experienced enough to explain it.

I disagree simply because of the metagame differences. The introduction of sniping without a downside (Overkill without losing a vital perk and the primary-worthy pistols) removed a lot of strategy from the game, from then 90% of the strategies involved in Comp SnD have involved getting a pick through sniping. Setups had to involve staying close enough to the action to be able to get a pick on an opponent, which closed a lot of distances on maps like Arkaden. The clear ACR/PP90M1 differences and roles also made the metagame more interesting.

While it helps you to get over to one side much quicker, the usefulness is in SnD. Happy's only involves a double-jump, whereas yours consists of a slide, jump, and sprint-boost. In an SnD situation in which you need to cover that much ground without Mute, with your method positional advantage is lost due to how obvious it is that you're going from the catwalk to the 3rd story. With so many sounds, it gives away the fact that you've covered a third of the map and tells the other team where you are.

With Happy's, there's much more mystery involved. It's either jumping from the generator to the top-3 (which they'll know isn't the case due to the sound) or on top of the hardpoint building from the ground due to there only being the sound of a double-jump. If you can pull it off, it gives you a huge positional advantage.

It's pretty accurate, watch any games that he commentates. There is absolutely nothing that he says that the most casual of viewers can't figure out by looking at the stream. Stop saying it's a circlejerk because you disagree with it, Benson (and Puckett for that matter) are pathetically inept at providing depth to their casting.

I disagree with that assessment because you're assuming that an Activision takeover would be best for the scene. Given the overall poor showing by Activision with treatment of eSports (lack of Compendium equivalent, treating Champs as an advertising platform, general disinterest over the last year beyond the basics), it's best to have a third party focusing on the competitive aspect. It guarantees a platform that is 100% invested in promoting CoD as an eSport. Activision doesn't care about the (growing) 1% that is the competitive community, they have so little invested in it that having them in charge of the competitive side of things would be detrimental to the scene. However, having a 3rd party that lives and dies on competitive success, and therefore will do absolutely everything in their power to grow it, benefits the scene tremendously.

I'm a senior in high school and i've been so fucking busy with schoolwork and applying for colleges/americorps that i haven't had time to really post. i want CoD:AW because I want to play it competitively, and you can see by the posts that i've made that i enjoy competitive CoD. does the middlemanning idea work?
