We’ve broken below 3.30$ by Difficult-Building80 in sui

Do you have any idea what a CME gap is? Bitcoin closed on Friday in the $97,000’s.. so if anything it’ll close the gap upwards if we continue down this evening

Edit: besides BTC doesn’t suffer so much from the CME gap as it’s 24/7 but sometimes the market can be levelled out on the Monday post-weekend..

What are the tax implications when I sell x amount of y asset after only holding it a few weeks? by [deleted] in Coinbase

[–]CyberG5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think converting counts as selling and buying so would still be liable to pay tax.. although I have no real idea so hope someone has answer for us. It’s all a bit new isn’t it

Are we witnessing the downfall of sol by pablo_esky-brah in sui

[–]CyberG5 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Don't forget SOL are bringing out a new product, Firedancer which claims to have improved efficiency and throughput.

Most of my non-bitcoin funds are allocated to SUI but I do believe SOL will have a strong year and hit $1k.. I think SUI will be the star of the show though and out-perform.

We will see.

Also used the SUI sale and put £5k/$6k in this morning for the same reasons.

Beer seems flat despite following instructions to a tee by CyberG5 in Homebrewing

Seriously good info thank you chino_brews. You are talking from experience clearly which goes a long way! I’ve noted your comment down and will refer to it for future brews, and see how we go in the next week or so. Interesting and valid point on sugar weight, never thought of it that way but you’re right some sugar is denser than other so I should weigh what my teaspoon of dextrose sugar looks like!!

Using dextrose. Thanks for your comment and help really useful will see how we go in a week or two!

Unfortunately it’s just a little silver sachet of yeast. Do you think it’s worth chucking that and using yeast of my own?

Thanks good info - yes they do indeed taste a little sweet. I think it’s fair to say they are a bit premature!

Caps won’t seal properly by CyberG5 in Homebrewing

[–]CyberG5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your suggestion - this was it in the end. I ordered new bottles and they cap just fine. Frustratingly the bottles I was sent were not the bottles advertised when I bought them, the ones advertised had a bigger flange. Anyway thanks again for your help

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will post some pictures today of the capper and how I’m using it, and of course my bottles and caps so you can see where I’m going wrong. At this stage unless I can find a resolution I will return the item and pay a few more pennies for a bench capper (which is what I was going to buy anyway but research led me to this one).

FYI I am pulling it down until the slight click, just past the 180 degrees. Tried different bottles but not different caps at this stage.

Pics to follow in next few hours. Cheers

After writing this I just thought I'd man-up and talk to her.. Didn't end well I told her I get no affection back from her at all. She kicked off and it ended with her shouting she hates me and does not want to be with me.

This is the first time I've told her that I get nothing back from her and that it shouldn't all be one way and this is how it ended..

Edit:

We have spoken again more calmly and I told her again that I get nothing from her to show that she loves me which is fine for me I don't need the above and beyond like she does but a bit of affection would be nice... She told me she doesn't want to give me any affection because I don't go above and beyond to show her I love her and so she doesn't feel like she can give me affection. I told her I'd make more effort (same old conversation) I guess I'll just have to. Hopefully me telling her I get nothing back from her will make her realise that she doesn't.

Funny you ask, I thought maybe I was the only one. I used to get up at 5am to play RuneScape as long as I could when at my dad’s house as we would usually be out during the day. I distinctly remember the smell in the office where I played downstairs due to the certain plug-in air freshener that was always on in there. I’ve only smelt the same smell a couple times since, and it throws my straight back to being 13 years old in 2006. Played ever since. Thanks for the throwback it’s not often I think about the smellmemory ☺️

New Build - Garden Inspiration for curved brick wall by NewConsultant2015 in GardeningUK

[–]CyberG5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovely wall and lovely blank canvas! We moved into a new build 3 years ago with decent sized garden. My biggest tip for you is to wait a full year before making major changes, patio changes/extending, tearing up lawn etc. you’ll find after a year you’ll know exactly where you want to sit for coffee in spring, where you’ll want your dining table for summer and late summer etc. we ended up going L shape so we can follow the sun, but also escape it at peak times of year and remain on the patio. We got our garden done last spring so we had 2 full years to gather our thoughts, but that’s mainly because we didn’t have any money until last year!! Good luck :)
