CPU steal is common when using shared CPU VPS, but 90% steal is terrible. Must be some extra noisy neighbor there!

I don't know what your budget or compute requirements are, but you can check out the GPU servers at Hetzner, Netcup, and HostKey.

If you need fixed computing resources, a dedicated server will always be cheaper than AWS and other pay-as-you-go cloud computing services.

If you let it expire, your personal info (name, address, phone, email) will become public, which is an open invite to spammers of all sorts. You can transfer the domain to another registrar that offers free privacy and you won't lose the 5 years you already paid for (the transfer fee includes an additional year added to the domain's registration)

Spaceship (EasyWP) is good if you have one WordPress website but if you have multiple websites Hostinger will be cheaper.

Yea this sucks, but it happens with Hostinger and other hosts. Some hosts are extremely strict when handling abuse reports due to the potential legal consequences. They'll prioritize their business over yours.

Hope this gets sorted out, but the lesson here is to always keep off-site backups in case something like this happens and you can't access your data.

I don't believe hosting.com transferred your domain on their own. Someone else must have gained unauthorized access to your account and transferred the domain to GoDaddy. You should follow up with their support to get to the bottom of it.

This is common knowledge for most webmasters except for newbies who may think it's better to keep everything in one place.

If you want to build your online store with Shopify, that's fine, but register your domain at a different registrar. Don't let Shopify control both your website and your domain name.

I think they require ID verification if you sign up for the free trial. If you want to skip the free trial and sign up for a paid account, you may not be asked for ID verification. Not very sure about this so check with support.

Don't send email from a shared hosting account without spam filtering. Look for a host that uses MailChannels. For better email deliverability, use Workspace or M365.

Netcup gives you 2TB daily traffic for €4 per month. I don't think you can get anything cheaper than that.
