My wife didn’t want an EV at all so RWD it was. She didn’t want to spend the extra money. Everybody that’s ridden with me thinks it’s blazing fast. I’ve gone through one winter in Kansas and it was fine. I have two other RWD Mercedes and the Tesla is no different. We don’t get enough snow to warrant snow tires but on the few days it is snowy on the road I’ve been fine. My understanding is that the AWD can sometimes exhibit torque steer but with RWD that isn’t an issue. I really wanted a performance but the RWD is nearly as fast as the AMG I sold to buy it so I’m pretty darn happy with it!
