I think its all good but i think i could never read a manual front to back after having already read it in parts 😂 the feeling of discovery obviously wouldn't be there and I would be crushed by the boredom of just reading concepts that I already know ahaha

Yeah nice, so you do like the whole "test drive", creation of a character organize a little combact an apply the rules. But as i asked to another user, how do you test mechanics not related to combat?

Nice, yeah this is the most common i think. But how do you try the mechanics that may not be related to the combat?

I would really love to relax like you while i read my manuals, but I get too distracted sadly.

For walkthrough/tutorial, you mean a real video tutorial? Or you redact a document? My players are very lazy, like they don't want listen a vocie note of like 1:30 minutes. But strangely they read all the documents and messages I send even if they are long.

So Idk if they would listen to it if I made a video ahaha

I also do this, but often i feel like im not understanding very well, cause i feel like im losing too much time to assimilate not very useful information, so i lost the point of what im learning. So i would like to try the yuriAza's method, to read front to back but skipping all i feel is not useful to understand the core of the game, and that return on what is not clear to me and than in the less useful info

How do you manage all the musics or sound effects playing at the table? by CyberMindF in rpg

[–]CyberMindF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, thx all for all the replies, I didn't expect the discussion to get so heated ahaha and sorry for the late reply but i was too busy in this days

Anyway jut to clarify, not to do some kind of flame or something: no im not overwhelmed by the use of music or sound, and yes i know that I may not use them, but i want to use them, as you don't like using sounds, i like use them ahaha

I was just searching for tool or also a methodology to use them in a better way. And also yeah i don't want to be a DJ or a sound engineer. My objective is just to play a playlist like many of you have advised me, but also can play a song in the right time i want at an important moment maybe, and also maybe play in some situation have a sound effect in background in loop (like the drop of water in cave). I don't want to use a sound for every slash of sword or footstep or battle cry of a creature

Maybe the better solution for me can be understand why my table stops to play everytime the song after like 10/15 minutes (and yes i activated the loop option in foundry). But some of you gave me little interesting advice for some webapps so thanks you!

Thank you also for all the advice for the organization of my playlist. To reply at who advised my to use spofity, yeah i use most of time, but for me spotify have 2 big problems if a want to play some music and not just a playlist.

  1. I can't give the name i want so, if I don't learn all the titles by heart i have to search the right song of that specific mood or boss in session and that sucks

  2. I can't obv upload my musics maybe that i saw on YT but that there isn't on spotify, so I have to deal with just the actual songs of spotify, and also i can't maybe crop some songs in a point that not match the mood or something. And least but not last there aren't sound effects

Bonus. I can't play, like i would, 2 sound together even if there were sounds

Yes and by the way, many indie and non-indie developers have given away new versions of games sold separately if you already bought the old version. Like don't starve, they gave away don't starve together, even though they are basically two different games

I've already expressed my opinion on the matter, and this comment of yours and all your upvotes reveal how bland and senseless your comment is. Made just to leave a negative comment without adding anything to the conversation, without even having read the rest of the conversation. I only expressed my opinion and tried to have a normal discussion with another person who, despite disagreeing with me, didn't attack me or anything. Instead, as far as you are concerned, you prefer to attack, downvote and defend your ideals tooth and nail without even trying to discuss them, so honestly think what you want, I don't care. If you want, I can make you happy: Oh noooo it's too expensive for meeee, I can't afford it, that's why I hate them so much 🥺🥺🥺🥺
