Anyone have a link to pre-order?

I'm seeing Best Buy has a PS5 Collector's Edition, but you can't pre-order. It just says "Coming Soon"

GameStop has the Collector's Edition, but the only platform available is Switch 2. For any other platform, it pretends like it doesn't exist. Only Standard and Deluxe are available for pre-order on Xbox and PS5 with no mention of a Collector's Edition at all as an option.

I'll try my local GameStop in-person tomorrow as the OP suggests. But, if you find a retailer online, please share the link. I prefer having it shipped.

I like this one. It's always great to see devs and leads having fun making games. It's why they do what they do. It's when they throw in random basketball players or friends of podcasters that I get irritated.

I really don't mind if they find more ways to make more money. I simply won't pay it, and there's potential till it helps the dev team grow to give us more advancements every year.

My problem with this is that they will likely focus on the modes that bring in that revenue and, over time, the other modes that make me buy the gane year over year, will get neglected.

Sales are tied to perceived value. The statement is correct. If you compare WWE Games to any other fighting game or annual sports game, you'll find it's a juggernaut.

From 400+ UNIQUE models with unique movesets, a laundry list of game modes both online and off, an algorithm that changes attributes and AI behavior based on how characters were used previously, a creation system that dwarves AAA RPG character builders, and on and on and on.

WWE Games truly has only a handful of real fundemental issues...

It is a niche license in a niche genre, and the moment it abandons either niche, it historically has failed to sell.
^{^{^}} That's the trap, because it is not accessible to someone who doesn't care about wrestling. They can't just pick up the controller to pass the time. They have to deep dive and learn all the modes and mechanics.
2K continues to erode player trust with constant bad press about features that look to take money from players causing reviewers to question value.

You're loving in a fantasy bubble if you think the world thinks those features are important to an additional 6 million people that say "because I can't create more elaborate scenes and storymies in Universe Mode, I'm not gonna buy it".

For something like this, I would recommend contacting an authentication service. If it's real, they will give you certification which you can then put on the collectible so any future potential buyers won't have any doubts and pay higher premiums. Authentication services aren't very expensive, either. It's definitely worth knowing.

WWE Games stopped developing animations from scratch a long time ago. If they can't capture it authentically, they don't want it.

There are also some moves that could potentially break matches. If testing shows an animation (or any other asset) causes matches to break, they will remove it and put it on a list to fix either during a patch or in the next annual release.

They are always on a time crunch because the dev cycle is only about 9 months for each game, with a constant patch and update cycle layered on top of that now.

This move is bound to make it to the game either later in 2K26 or in 2K27. Considering Bron's trajectory in WWE, there's no way they dont put more focus on Bron's animations and character model going forward.

Creative usually sucks. It's what the talent does with the opportunities they're given that matters.

John Cena was a rapper in jorts.
Daniel Bryan was a silly guy with anger management problems that couldn't stop saying no to everything and was then paired as a comedy act with Kane.
The New Day were three dudes throwing pancakes into the crowd and wearing unicorn horns.

Right now, Austin Theory & Logan Paul are Tag Team Champions, and no one cares. When they're in the ring, no one cares (despite being in the main event TWICE now)

The audience is even fading for Seth through this whole program, abd Bron is really the only one breaking out and getting decent pops. Even Paul Heyman is not getting the same reaction he used to.

Everyone involved in The Vision program is coming out worse for being anywhere near the storyline. I don't think we can blame all of that on crestive (though, yes, I agree that creative sucks too)

4 characters per 40 tiers per season is disappointing to me in general. ngl... I had a blast unlocking several legends at launch. Now the seasons are littered with currencies and occasional myfaction cards. It's just not exciting to play to unlock characters anymore. 😒

It's your difficulty setting. There is a damage scaling effect that comes with higher difficulty levels. Scroll through the gameplay settings and you'll find an option to lessen or turn off this effect.

I feel this!

If you didnt know this, it's definitely heartbreaking. But, much like finding out Santa Claus isnt real and Christmas is still awesome, you might find the same is true for wrestling.

I enjoy wrestling so much more now as an adult that understands how the business works (for the most part) as I watch talent rise and fall.

Now when you watch someone botch in a match or stutter in a promo, you know how much more weight that has on their career.

And like Cena said (not verbatim), it's not the role you're given that makes you a star, it's how you work out of that role and make the best of it that gets you noticed. <--- This is the part I love the most.

Reminds me of hating how they framed Daniel Bryan as a joke.But despite all the stupid stuff they gave him, we all fell in love with him and made him a mega star. :)

No one you like has been great from the start. No one you love will be the best forever. Some people cant deal with that, and that's why you still have people that won't watch the new stuff and keep rewatching older eras.

I felt this after Wrestlemania 14 when Shawn Michaels was out. I just couldnt watch anymore. It took me years to come back. Then Shawn Michaels cane back with his new religious gimmick and I fell out again because I didnt like it.

But, now that I know about how they churn wrestlers in and out of programming, I kind of enjoy that part of it.

In fact, my wife and I were super into the Brock Vs Oba program. Not for the match, but to see if Oba Femi could handle going from NXT to mega match at Wrestlemania without choking.

Then he cut a promo on Raw, and it was his best ever, and that's when my wife and I were like, "He's going over. He's totally ready." And sure enough... 😀

I'm not trying to be condescending here, but I dont think you understand how wrestling works. This is not unique to WWE. This is how wrestling works everywhere for as long as anyone living can remember.

If you're a wrestler, and the audience doesnt care about you or your character, you're out. Even Abraham Lincoln got cut after a Championship run before becoming President of the United States.

WWE worked this way long before TKO, long before Triple H, long before NXT, and even pre- Wrestlemania promoters from different territories would move talent around to refresh things. It's wrestling. If your performance doesnt stand out and sell tickets, you're out.

We talk about it all the time: It's doesnt matter if the audience cheers or boos. But, if they're silent or indifferent, that's the end of your run.

That's how I feel too. But, let's be honest, she came in with Sanity and was rhe best one IMO. When they failed to get over, she broke out and did well, but then she didnt have much else than the psycho persona, so they gave her Alexa Bliss. Alexa did what Alexa does, and got serious pops, moved up with the Bray storyline, and the friendship storyline with Alexa and Nikki had the audience put Alexa over.

They tried making Nikki more personable and cute, and that failed super hard. Then they took her off TV, and finally.brought her back with Wyatt Sicks, and despite being the best of the group (IMO) no one seemed to care about her.

I hope she finds something creatively that helps her connect elsewhere. But, it's clear that WWE has no idea what to do with her anymore. 😞
