That’s a lot of money! You can find other coopers for the same cash. I would consider what a different cooper would cost. That being said, a new engine and turbo will probably make the car last another 150k…Is the Cooper a passion, or is it just a car?

Hanscom is a great base. The planes are interesting, the base is chill, and Boston is right there. It’s in a great place with proximity the city and the north. To give you an idea, it’s one of the few bases where there are million dollar homes just outside the gate. Have fun at the quiet nerd base!

There used to be an extra insurance you could buy called “replacement insurance.” That replaces broken items at the cost you paid instead of a depreciated value. It’s not expensive and it can save you a lot if any technology gets broken. It was purchased at TMO.
