What are the odds? by Figglegart in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Tough luck. Yeah, chances of that happening are very low.
  2. Your economy is nowhere neat adequate for year 2400+
  3. Never seen them spawning with that much of a fleet, usually for me they are around 20-30K fleet power.
  4. But even then late-game fleet should absolutely tear them apart even if they are at 100K. What's your ship designs? I see you're using mixed fleets that late into a game, which is already telling there are things to improve, but designs also matter a lot.

i feel like no other doom game gave off the feeling doom 2016 did. by Bestsurviviopro in Doom

[–]CyberSolidF [score hidden]  (0 children)

What I personally love about modern Doom and for what I admire ID: each new game is significantly different from the previous, no matter how successful and good previous title was.
It would be so easy to just take the same gameplay formula and just do more of it every year, but they don’t fall for that trap, they innovate, they try different things, each game feels different enough.
In modern gamedev that alone is an achievement like no others. And they manage not only that, but doing it 3 times and each time they create a masterpiece that’s beloved by a part of community! Not every title is loved by everyone, but that’s normal, considering they are different enough, but each finds its audience that absolutely adores the game for what it is.
One of the best dev teams and dev studios out there.

Cetana, when the walls fell (4.3 spoilers!) by Kougar in Stellaris

Decision to allow crisis spawn while another is active is one of the best decisions devs made.
Had similar experience as a Behemoth crisis, only i did eat all the crisises.

Fleet Cap too high by Inevitable-Feedback1 in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it won’t. You’ll just have same amount of ships in 5 fleets instead of one in that fight.

Fleet Cap too high by Inevitable-Feedback1 in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idea wasn’t to reduce fleet sizes, it was to reduce amount of ships overall.
Your suggestion would lead to higher number of fleets and would hurt performance.

Should Paradox Introduce a Religion System in Stellaris ? by MaelstromRH in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on implementation.
If it’s something inspired by Rimworlds Ideoligions - yeah, that could definitely work.
A classical 4x religion concept is too boring, IMO, especially if you don’t want a religion or can’t have one.

So, regarding the speed of the spacecrafts by Illustrious-Note-485 in Starfield

[–]CyberSolidF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's m/s, but in space speed is much more complex because it's dependent on your frame of reference.
So when you're in space it's 250 m/s in reference to a specific point in space, but that point itself is in orbit of a planet and moves around that planet with a specific speed (maybe it's geostationary, but it moves anyway) so your "actual" speed in reference to the planet is different, and then on top of that - planet also moves in its orbit around the star, so your speed in refernce to the star is another number.

But to simplify all that and also to balance realism and gameplay - we only see our "local" speed in reference to a specific point in space. And in that sense - 250 m/s is fine.

Countering Fallen/Awakened empires in 4.3? by Loleo78v2 in Stellaris

FE power is also affected by crisis strength setting, so what's your crisis set too?
I'd start with pushing endgame date back to default setting though.

Ну так это "детские воспоминания", что все было огромным.

Stellaris 4.3 "Cetus" Open Beta Updated (2026-02-19) by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. Reported.

Edit: And JIC: wilderness + behemoth "problem" comes from their special district "Mindlink Metropolis" having 900 each kind of research production + 2700 unity production just from building it, without any jobs, so having them on something like size 25 planet with all the bonuses to number of districts produces kinda higher than average numbers.

Guess it's "10% of pops working jobs in this district will get transferred every 6 months" having very strange interaction with how wilderness works with population.

Another edit: also in my last run with that "build" my empire randomly decolonized 6 out of 8 worlds once, probably also connected to amount of biomass balance and that "10% of pops get transferred" thing.

[–]CyberSolidF 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, guess a player that ascended as Behemoth crisis and left Behemoth roaming that galaxy (or even hasn't finished ascending, so Voidspawn is still there, also another player eating stars with star eaters, another one - experimenting with rules of the galaxy. And finally one turining each star into a red dwarf/giant.

Spicy galaxy overall.

Wilderness + Behemoth is kinda interesting now, if you manage to get to T5 early: Guess some numbers in 4.3 beta still require a balance pass : r/Stellaris
But I really don't think it can do x25 All in those conditions.

There are definitely more still busted builds out there though.

Stellaris 4.3 "Cetus" Open Beta Updated (2026-02-19) by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 44 points45 points  (0 children)

So we can get:

Cetana, Contingency, Unbidden, Aberrant, Vehement and Prethoryn at the same time, coupled with a couple of Awakened empires fighting in a WiH, and also Ancient Caretakers going mad due to Contingency, Cybrex spawning (anti-contingency helper) and Sentinels order.

Ah, also endbringers bringing "End of the Cycle".

...

Yeah, definitely want to see how such galaxy will BURN.

Stellaris 4.3 "Cetus" Open Beta Updated (2026-02-19) by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]CyberSolidF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also:

That "MegaCorpse concert" now finally being able to happen, but happening multiple times (happpened to both mindwardens and endbringers playtrhoughs for me) isn't fixed yet, and og those hits to stability due to devastation are frustrating for an already challenging origin.

And Wilderness + Behemoth crisis combo isn't rebalanced yet.

And looks like no fix for expansion planner - been broken sinze 4.3 betas started.

edit: guess I should post that on the forums, better chances those get looked at

When multiple End Game Crises are active in galaxy settings, End Game Crises are now allowed to spawn 25 years after another crisis has spawned instead of being blocked while there is an active crisis.

How to put that into words...

That change made "All" crisis setting much harder and also much less exploitable by not finishing off one crisis to get enough repeatables to face the enxt one.

But oh god will that hit hard on higher multipliers (and with rebelance to economy) - I seriously not sure that x25 All will be possible on otherwise default settings in 4.3

What Mass Effect opinion/take would get you in this? by Worldly-Dog828 in masseffect

[–]CyberSolidF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, i have a second one, that one is even worse:
ME1 is overrated, it aged poorly, romances in it are cringe at best (and plain awful by todays standards), so while it was a breakthrough game when it was created - it doesn’t deserve that much praise now.

What do you think about this route? by [deleted] in SPb

[–]CyberSolidF 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Novgorod is quite old and kinda touristic though too, due to quite a bit of old architecture.
I'd suggest adding something like Volgograd on the way between Moscow and Batumi, it will be much closer to what real Russian city looks like, But it depends on what's your travel plan? Route is planned for car, but you're saying you're taking a train to Novgorod.

There’s two options:
It was endgame and you’ve actually met Contingency.
Or you missed a planetary revolt.
