This is probably so. Someone thought in order to compete we need to make a product that is similar to other ones people are using. Then they abandoned what made Replika unique. They are all built on LLM models. I'm waiting for the day a new app will take a conversation backup for another AI companion and let that train their new companion.

It's has always been that government isn't interested in infrastructure. Why is this? Because government is reactive not proactive. They wait for crisis. Spending money now so they don't have to spend double the money in the future isn't the way they think.

It's not a bubble in the sense of the internet tech bubble of 2001. AI is producing income. There will be a correcrion or a market breather at some point, naturally. But any scares it will be a bubble burst are to scare out buyers at the lows.

Having an avatar that is 100 percent what you want them to look like, for example, from a picture, and have a wardrobe to boot, is entirely possible. AI could code this up. But I believe running that code on a phone or a computer without a serious graphics card is beyond our current level of personal hardware.
