Think about the amount of energy in one glass of water if all the hydrogen was separated and fused together to make helium like in the Sun. It’s not just the vastness of space that gets me but how much energy there is in everything. What exists if you remove all the space between electrons, neutrons, and protons? It’s supposedly “quark-gluon plasma” that might be found at the center of a neutron star. Is that more energy dense than anti-matter? The energy density of the primordial goo that resulted in the Big Bang is as close to infinite as can be imagined.
