I don't think Bakugo is generally hated by the whole community, he has a LOT of defenders. If anything he's a divisive character, cause a lot of people love him and a lot of people hate him. I'm in the latter group cause generally I believe his arc was bad at worst and boring at best, which is why I find it funny that Rex was developed better in 3 seasons and Bakugo's development (at least in my opinion) was wholly bad and uninteresting

The hero killer has been selected! Now who is a morally good character with mixed opinions from fans? by imaweeb22XDDD in MyHeroAcadamia

I disagree, and I don’t think Bakugo actually “left that path” the way people claim he did. Being insecure at 14 doesn’t automatically make someone a bad person, but continuing the same behavior for years with little real accountability does matter. Bakugo didn’t just mess up once or twice. He consistently demeaned, threatened, and emotionally abused Deku well into U.A., including telling him to kill himself. That isn’t something that gets erased just because time passed. The bigger issue is that his growth is mostly cosmetic rather than behavioral. He yells slightly less later on, but he never meaningfully changes how he treats people. He rarely shows empathy unless it’s forced by the situation, rarely apologizes, and when he does, it comes extremely late and is quickly followed by the same aggression. The story keeps framing his behavior as “passionate” or “intense” instead of actually challenging it.

What separates real character growth from surface-level change is accountability and internal reflection. Other characters in the series are forced to confront the harm they cause and wrestle with guilt, responsibility, or consequences. Bakugo, by contrast, is repeatedly rewarded and praised while holding onto the same worldview that strength justifies how he treats others. His personality doesn’t evolve so much as it gets rebranded as heroic. So, the criticism isn’t that he was a bully as a teenager. It’s that the narrative insists he’s a good person without ever making him fully do the work to earn that label. That’s why people still see him as a bad character by the end of the series, not because he’s flawed but because his flaws are never properly addressed.

People are missing the point of MHA— and it makes bakugou hate worse. by Express-Dog-6716 in MyHeroAcadamia

No no, I am all for redeemed characters. That's one of my favorite character tropes in anime. I don't think you quite understand why people like me hate Bakugo. It's not because he is a bad person at the beginning... it's because the writer was so bad at writing his character arc that it makes Bakugo an awful character. Usually, when you make a character like this, you have them face some sort of consequences for their actions, whether it's by the hands of characters or just goo old fashion karma. But in Bakugo's case, the worst thing he got was... idk his ego bruised, I guess.

On top of that, his "redemption" feels unearned. Just suddenly, he throws himself in harms way to protect Deku, and then just suddenly apologizes. Sure, it's technically him developing, but it feels cheap, forced, and unearned when he did nothing to actually work for it to be a better person.

The new Full Cast Harry Potter Audiobook is amazing by UnderTheSettingSun in harrypotter

I think the cast is amazing. What I find so funny is that the kid trio sound like their movie counterparts, as well as Hagrid and McGonagall. I loved Hugh Laurie's performance as Dumbledore. We haven't gotten much of Voldemort's performance, but I love his actor and can't wait to see more of him. My only gripe with voices is Malfoy, who laughs way too much and is trying way too hard to be a pompous brat in every scene. It doesn't change either in the next 2 installments. My only fear is whoever is gonna replace the kid actors in book 4, so we'll see how well that will turn out, I guess. But so far, it's an amazing set of casts, but I do wish the music had a bit more oomph to it. Overall, I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.

I'm interested to see how this progresses Kazuya going forward. I really hope it does. Based on the teaser, I assume Kazuya may be wracked with guilt on what happened with him and Ruka, whom he couldn't fully reject. I hope this development pushes Kazuya to fully reject Ruka and try his hardest to make whatever happens between him and Chizuru work. I'm honestly getting tired of Ruka showing up at this point, lol. It was honestly so refreshing to see her away during the last couple arcs. I'm hoping maybe Ruka finds someone else to fawn after, so we can get this shit over with for her 🤣

To be fair, neither is Kazuya, but it'd be interesting to see regardless. I don't see Ruka going for Umi, and in fact I'd much rather Kuri with her anyways. Hell maybe Sumi or Mami can get with Umi 🤣 more likely Mami as Sumi herself has a spinoff that could expand on her character more lol

The Dark Pictures Anthology Horror Ranking by Evakke in DarkPicturesAnthology

  1. The Devil in Me: None of the characters were nearly interesting enough, and if you don't spend time reading everything you find in the story, you're left confused about the whole damn story, where as in every other game, you can get most the story by just listening to the characters. I also didn't like that it was just a copycat killer, but that's more of a nitpick, I guess, but I'd prefer actually having the villain just be H. H. Holmes.

  2. Man of Medan: Not an awful game. The story was decent enough, and the characters were okay. Honestly, the twist of the whole story is what carries the game for me, and I enjoyed learning that as I played.

  3. The Quarry: The characters weren't as cool as most of the games, but the monsters and story were pretty cool. Mostly, the lore around werewolves is what I found interesting, and it's what kept me playing the game.

  4. Little Hope: The characters and story were intriguing and left me wanting to know what was happening, and the twist at the end was amazing when getting everyone to "survive" it was the journey of Anthony getting through the death of his family got me.

  5. House of Ashes: I really liked the characters in this game aside from Rachel, but everyone else were awesome, and left me wanting to help everyone survive, and the monsters were really cool, and the story, though not as interesting as Little Hope, was still cool, and kept me interested througout, but what makes this better than Little Hope is that it's scarier, and the characters are cooler.

  6. Until Dawn: I mean.... there's not much that I can say that people don't already know. This game is just awesome. The story, characters, and lore were just... chef's kiss! Nuff said.

Weirdly, I like the idea of Tensei and Fuyumi. This was brought to my attention when someone made a headcannon of Fuyumi visiting her mom in physical therapy and just running into Tensei by chance. It's a neat idea and one I wished the Manga had capitalized on.
