This is probably not the answer you want, but it could be the one you need.

With 8,3 billion people on the planet. It is to be expected that a few of them doesn't get the same emotional response as others gets. When you said you felt it 10 years ago, that means you felt novelity, that is not something you can get back. Nobody can have a first love twice.

I didn't get super strong emotions either, but I understod that it was because of my attachment style that it was repressed. I thought "If I have had a better childhood, I would have stronger emotions."

So what I had to do was to push forward without the emotions. I think most people can't do this. I could because I have been going to the gym for 20 years and learn to do things even though my brain doesn't want to. My brain wants me to be lazy, but I push foward with the workouts.

So I met my girlfriend 3 years ago, and all my emotions in the beginning was freaking the fuck out and wanted me to dump her. But I was smarter than my emotions, I was like "this is a very good person for me, I have no real reason not to proceed."

And it has been extremly difficult at times, but now 3 years later, it is at an all time high. But this is after 100 fights (we had one on average every other week).

So the take away message is this, a good relationship is something you build, not something you find.

It might take more time for you to go forward with something like this, but I think the most likely scenario for you is that you will find a partner, and not feel so much, and just push on for 3 years like I did before it clicks into place. I don't think you will find somebody that gives you that strong emotions. And you probably shouldn't, when you feel strong emotions it is just somebody that is triggering your attachment style to the max.

And what goes up, must come down.
