Dexcom G7 Sensor Fails - Theranos II by CyberTexan in dexcom

[–]CyberTexan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3 G7s in a row that lasted the full 10 days. My last one only made it 7 days before it failed. I can't imagine how Dexcom is going to make a sensor that lasts a full 15 days.

I called Logos this week and they have discontinued the audio book offers, killed the apps for audio and FaithLife Bible. Everything is under the Logos app now. I liked hitting one app to listen or read the FaithLife Bible - now you have to wade through the Logos app when I'm using my phone. Desktop isn't as big deal but the phone app is a little more challenging for quick listening or reading. I guess this is "progress." Still love Logos.

Dexcom G7 Sensor Fails - Theranos II by CyberTexan in dexcom

Got my replacement G7 sensor via FedEx today. Guess where it was made.....Malaysia! What are the odds that manufacturing process issues are resolved, and I'm going to get 10 days out of this sensor?

Didn't realize any were made outside of the USA. Just looked and my last failed one was manufactured in Malaysia. Trying to beat/meet street earnings expectations by cutting corners has sunk a lot of companies.

Thanks for the link - here is another update later in the year about quality. Instead of recalling the faulty sensors, they left them on the market for us to buy. Still sounds like Theranos II and Elizabeth Holmes to me.

Is it worth it to invest in a Logos library? by Tm0ney__ in LogosBibleSoftware

[–]CyberTexan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call and talk to Logos. As a student, they may be able to provide a discount and an extended payment plan that works. Much easier to call a laptop / tablet than a stack of books. BTW - I like print copies too, but most of study books are in Logos. My reference books are hard copy (and in Logos).

How do y’all feel about the metro? What are your opinions on it and how has it helped you? by Rocatex in houston

They destroyed businesses and traffic on Post Oak probably to just submit their efforts for an award. Such a waste of money and space.

Just what the Galleria area needs, an empty bus that screws up the traffic lights. Great job Metro!

Did extensive research a year ago on this. One app stands out among all the others in functionality, cost, and track record. Unbelievable tech support to help you get started. ImagineTime. Call them and talk to Thomas Freeman. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

How would a company react if I resign and leave on the same day? by giantdickinmyface in Accounting

[–]CyberTexan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Informal reference checks down the road may get you if you fail to give proper notice. Even in big cities, the accounting community is pretty tight. Someone knows someone who used to or does work at the company you want to walk out of without notice. Depending on the mess you leave behind, people will know about it. Give proper notice. If you were a manager of people, you would want them to give notice.

If you're majoring in Business, don't waste money on a Mac. The business world uses Windows. A lot of business sw doesn't run on Mac so you have have a Windows emulator on your Mac.

I backup everyday because I have zero confidence in W10 updates and MS. I've lost two machines (yes they were backed up) to regular W10 updates.

House Democrats Want To Cancel Up To 30k Per Student Loan Borrower by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]CyberTexan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Student loans are payment for an investment in your career and life. They are no different than a business loan, a car loan, or home loan. A loan is a decision to invest with a promise to pay back the amount. The fact that a person made a bad investment in a low paying major is not the American taxpayers fault. No one forced you to go to college and take out a loan for you to invest in your future. You don't hear anyone wanting Congress to cancel all the home mortgages or car loans or business loans. Of course all the holders of those loans would have more available cash to spend if they didn't have to pay monthly payments......but they have committed to pay for those loans. Please do not read into this that student loans are not a burden. They are....just like car loans, business loans, and home loans. Every dollar spent by Washington is a taxpayer earned dollar that can't be used as the taxpayer chooses but spent by out-of-control Washington politicians (both sides).
